Jovany, don't make claims you can't back up...
Saying no one will buy something is hard to back up. Unless you happen to have the sales figures of past rpgs on all systems... but even then it's no guarantee as you can only make a guess.
And remember there are more than 1 type of gamer, some people love RPGs and not FPS... And it is a rather good idea of and for Microsoft to widen their target audience, as it will sell more systems and whatnot.
And for all we know now that they might sell really well and then go multi platform, or maybe they won't go multi at all. Hard to say at this point, especially since we don't see all of what's happening within the companies.

I'll say it.
All the consoles are good,
Wii- Many flaws, and chipping it would probably be the last thing you should do. Trust me. The games are good, but online is pure crap, but the virtual console lets you reminiscence on your childhood faves. Brawl, really kept the console going, and since Brawl isnt your average, 1 week game, it's gonna take a loooooong time before it dies out
PS3- Large console yes? Methinks a small one is in process. it's apparent that the design of pre-game menus is the same as PSP's. Games are excellent of course, though according to virus, MSG4 was probably the best, graphic'd game. Truly eye candy (seen it myself, through an ad when i went to the movies)
Xbox360- First new-gen console to come out, and some fine FPS on it too. Too bad there were hardly RPGs on it... Which was a shame. Played Halo 3, and some other games on it, according to my friend, Gears of War was a pretty good game too. FPS isn't something i'd play all day really. The console is, noticeably failing... So it may be the first to fall.

Im more into Platformers than Anything else, and anygames Insomniac or Naughtydog make are PURE GOLD!!! Hack and Slash are My sceond favorite and third would be 3rd person shooters, Or astealth game that says Metal gear Solid and a Numerical number after it... Playstation Offers all of that... And Xbox 360 offerings are weak... Seriously the xbox is a good Software Game Player, But The HARDWARE SUCKS MAJOR 33% Percent Failure rate is crap, especially when You have mediocre games on it IN MY OPINION

And seeing how it faired in the western markets, its here to stay. The reason why most companies are working on rpgs for the 360 console, is bcoz there were hardly any rpg in its previous predecessor, and to widely broaden its repertoire of diffrent genre games made the 360 the inevitable target as the majority of its releases were mostly shooters. and Jovany I know you wanna express your opinions, but apparently alot of people here are sensitive to these matters (since the majority bought it for Halo 3 or any future installments). *I never bought the 360 for Halo, but for Assassins Creed (even though it came out on PS3 aswell -_-)and Ninja Gaiden 2. Never liked Halo, too boring in my opinion.

Seriously the xbox is a good Software Game Player, But The HARDWARE SUCKS MAJOR 33% Percent Failure rate is crap, especially when You have mediocre games on it IN MY OPINIONNaughtydog has offered nothing more than Uncharted Drake's Fortune for the PS3, which isn't anything more than an average game. MGS is just one game. Kojima stated that he wouldn't make any more game for the PS3 in an interview before MGS4 was released. 360's hardware was fixed LONG ago. 33% is OLD news. Like really old. Not as bad as Sony that bricked immediatly over 15% PS3 consoles with firmware 2.40 due to screwing up the XMB boot. Platformers are dead. If you want any, you'll need remakes. Such as the Playstation Net- Oh wait, they have none good ones. One of the 360's biggest trump cards is the Xbox Live Arcade which dominates over the PSN and the Virtual Console and WiiWare I'll say it. All the consoles are good, Wii- Many flaws, and chipping it would probably be the last thing you should do. Trust me. The games are good, but online is pure crap, but the virtual console lets you reminiscence on your childhood faves. The console is, noticeably failing... So it may be the first to fall. Brawl is extremely overrated. It's more overrated than Final Fantasy 7. But not as much as Halo 3. The Virtual Console offers nothing that you haven't played, unlike the XBLA or the Playstation Network PS3's games aren't "excelent". Due to the very complicated nature of the PS3's hardware, it's VERY hard to program for it. So only first and second parties or a company paid by Sony, can make average-good games for it. PS3 is ANYTHING but developer friendly. That's why the 360 has a bigger variety of good games and companies. MGS4 is probably one of the very few games that are going to reach the limit of the PS3. Unlike the 360, which can reach the graphics that the PS3 have with no problem, it could take MGS4 itself, Kojima did state so, although he didn't say it was going to be ported, plus with less development time, less money lost. The PS3 is EVERYTHING but winning. It's making Sony lose money at an alarming rate. If they continue this way, it'll end very badly. The 360 is FAR from falling at the moment. The Wii is going steadily. The console most likely to fall at the moment IS the PS3. I'm not saying it will, I'm just saying basing it on the current situation. You've shown no arguement against the 360. Just insulted it, as DualZero said, that's not a neutral point of view. That was your own slated opinion. The 360 has ALOT more than FPS. It has far more RPGs than the PS3, I don't know why people say it's just an FPS console. Plus they have Mistwalker, tri-Ace and Square-Enix on their sides. The console is NOT noticeably failing as it has no problems of money at the moment and it's selling well. ---- Jovany, you might've put "My opinion" in huge letters, but that's the point, it's your opinion, not facts. Not a Neutral point of view, you're biased towards the PS3. As you keep saying the 360 sucks but have yet to given a concrete good reason, like Albireo did with the 360 part. The Xbox is NOT Halo. It's far more than that. It has great games with astounding graphics plus an excelent and evergrowing Live Arcade selection for "Retro" players like me and the best online service I've ever seen.

aaaallll thanks to halo. Its just fanboy hype that spreads rumors and whatnot.
And Albiero, you might be wrong about Brawl being run for a LONG time. I only speak for myself when I say that I'm already growing bored of it. Unlike Melee, I cannot adapt very well to using other characters for some reason. Its like I can only stay the best with Wolf. Its not gonna change for me. At least any time this year that's for sure. With that being said, and since I've played SSE alot, I think I'm pretty much done with it for a few months unless someone wants my phone number to fight me, or perhaps luck will hit like for Tank and I.

Because Most People who own an Xbox 360 buy, and theres a whole lot of FPS exclusives and not alot of vareity... japanese people don't like FPSs thats why in Japan the 360 sell like Sh!t, not much vareity...
When I was Choosing to Buy a system, I looked at the 360's Games... back in 2007 when the PS3 "had no games", and thought Hm... Weres the games that aren't FPS? does it have any platformers? then the Gamestop guy was all like "If you play a 360 for too long, it overheats and Red Rings (aka it breaks) so He told me to buy a Used PS3 so I could afford it... BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!! I bought Ratchet and Clank Future:Tools of Destruction as the 1st game... a Platformer, which 360 is lacking (not because platformers are dead, 360 just doesn't have none)

Reports of the platforming genre's demise have been greatly exaggerated.
There's a new Sonic game coming out, and Sonic has generally always been platformers, Megaman games are platformers and Megaman 9 is in production, Sony's already registeredm the name of a new Jak & Daxter, and those games are platformers.
Seriously, how anyone could say the genre is dead when they're still making games with it puzzles me.

I peeps are noticing how the ganre isn't as highly talked-about as the others.
Were beat 'em-up games a ganre itself? Like final fight, double dragon, etc.?
If so, It isn't talked about much either. I think platformers are heading in that direction: Great and abundant, yet not much talked about. I guess.((It's a shame I heard that not that many people like beat-em up games. I love them, no matter how repetitive they can get. I guess it goes to show how spoiled we've gotten, taking entertainment and wanting more and more, hardly ever being satisfied with games....))

As Inafune stated, a game like Megaman 9 wouldn't fit in today's gaming. That's why the WiiWare/etc. were chosen as platformers. Jak & Daxter's name was registered? Oh Chrono Break's name was registered as well. Where can I buy it? Alright. If it's not dead, it's not NEARLY as great as it was back then.

Super Mario Galaxy and Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction sold extremly well and really popular... they Are platformers and by far popular ones... Hell i think Even Uncharted can be classified as a Shooter/platformer.... There are toons of Platformers, On other consoles, XCEPT on 360... Except I think Banjo kazooei 3 or Nuts and Bolts or What ever its called... But yeah... Platformers aren't dying... They are just well Hidden...lol, Here's hopping For jak and Daxter:The Lost Frontier to come out... and Chrono Break come out Exclusivley On PS3 so Raikon can get mad... ;D
