For the sake of humanity, and to make it easier for mods/admins; Do not change your nick/display name frequently. Please, don't change at all.
To be honest, I'd remove the "feature" of changing display name if it was possible.
Keep it in mind.

I'm completely with you Netto, it's very irritating to get to see name changes every day. (just to support this idea, Net)

Well, although I am guilty of a name change (or two) I support the idea. And maybe it should also not be allowed that they use copyrighted charecters. Or just no cosplaying your name unless its part of an RP.

I think people shouldn't change their name often. As long as they don't do it alot, I'm fine with it.

I think you should make it so every time you change your name, your post count goes down by 10 or something like that.
Or you can only do it twice.

Your post count doesn't matter. IT SAYS NOTHING! I'm agreeing with Netto 100%

To keep track of the ones changing nicks so that they get -10, without doing it more than once. This is to make it easier for mods/admins.

The bigger it is, the less life you have. And also, another idea: what if when one changes their name, the display name feature is locked for about 30 days? And make RPing outside of the forum games section against the rules?

I'm completely in favor of that. The thing that annoys me the most is trying to figure out who the heck people are. I've had this nickname since I started on this board and I don't quite get the point of changing your name all the time. Just so people know, it does get annoying as a fellow board member trying to figure out who is who, and who has changed names.
As for the post count, big whip!!!

They could just post in the text area below their pic, "Previously known as (insert name)". That would solve it......as long as it's there long enough for alot of people to see it that is.

I don't mind the occasional name change. (a good rule to live by is use the same name for 3 months.) Or if it's a very obvious name change... (like you registered with ex- name but you wanted it to appear NamE or something like that.) But as stated repeated name changes just for the sake of it gets hard to figure out who is who...

Or if you do[Change your name, that is], atleast include a "Formly so and so" as your avatar title or something..
EDIT: Maniacal Reploid
