It is also true that you see the first name when you hover over the current name.

No offence, MZ. As i said, it confuses and irritates. Thus we need to keep watch. There is a warning level on FZ boards, right? When name changes, you need a Mod's/Admin's approval. Otherwise, NO. Then those who do not follow will be warned once.

As I said before, I want to make it easier for staff to do their job. It is hard enough keeping track of warnings given to people.

I don't get the part why I need to get offened.
If I'm understanding you correctly, you just used my name as example. a Example that never has happened. If you're meaning I'm changing my name much, I NEVER changed my name. =S

Another problem that can occur is someone may change their name to what was once another person's name. That would really cause confusion. Obviously, registered names can't be duplicated, but I believe changed names can.

Yeah. Now some of my friends in RL saw this topic and are matching their names all over in MSN. Its hell, i tell you.

So we should restrict it. Like, some habits die hard. You call Sakon as Deathanz. Its hard to forget, but it may confuse others. Thus it makes the mods and admin jobs harder.

I agree with having people being able to change there name after some time, as I was know as Advent Vile for awhile when I was infected with the Advent Virus

Another problem I've noticed is that when people create threads for creations of some sort, whether it be sprites, pics or something else, they have one name, but then they change their name so it becomes sprites created by someone else in another names thread. Yeah, people can look at the originator of the thread, but people aren't always going to do that. Heck, I remember when DragonX became Zoron. I got confused and was trying to PM DragonX to set up a new game of "Hurt or Heal".

I think that I mentioned this before and it was ignored, but I'll say it again. I think the dispay name changing feature should be given a time-release-only lock so that once it's used, it could only be used again after thirty days or some time like that. That way people can't do retarded daily name changes.

I do not have such powers to do that. This is proboards, everything is done and no new functions can be manually added.

well I say it here I the once VileMKII am now Kimimaro Kaguya, my second fav sound nin (darn you sakon! hes my fav) I felt like changeing it so ya it will remain this for awhile as I have pritty much been VileMKII for a year now.
