I owned all 3 versions at one point ,but at the same time I never considered getting the pinecone bomb bug thing either. It wasn't because of appearence or anything. I just though the idea of it was kinda lame. A bug grass type pokemon the functions very similar to the Voltorb series.

A couple of my first team (Typhlosion, Ampharos, Snorlax, Dragonite, Espeon, Tyranitar) recently hit 100, the others are fairly close so I transferred them to a different game and started over. This time I'm running with Electrivire, Poliwrath, Pidgeot, Growlithe, Hitmonlee, Scizor and Hypno. I know that's 7, but all were traded so I've got the boosted exp thing going and its working really slick just throwing in whoever I need in any given situation. Just got the 8th badge and I'm taking a break from the game for awhile while I take care of other stuff.
I'm enjoying playing through again, and I'm also training a "capture team" on the side for those dammedable roaming pokemon. I've got a Parasect for Spore, the only 100% sleeper in the game. Problem is I'm going to have to force feed him Carbos or he'll never get the first attack. Idea is to put them to sleep, switch to Misdrevious who'll Mean Look and Baton Pass to Feraligatr who'll Scary Face their speed down to nothing. Doubt they'll stay asleep for that long though, maybe I just want to paralyze them off the bat and be done with status changing. Any good tips for capturing the roaming legendaries?

o3o
Damn, and here I am having not played the game since the last time I posted, other than switching out pokemon for the walker thing. lmao. Though now that I've hit some stumps in Monster Hunter Tri and some other games, I guess I'll get back to playing SS.
As for the legendaries, paralyzing's your best friend with benefits. And a great third partner if you know sleep. (especially if you're chasing the dogs)

Those dogs except Suicune can be caught trying chase them down. The best combo to have I know is Spore and False Swipe that is where Scyther comes in handy at higher levels as for the Parasect yes force feed carbos intill its get addicted to them and eats them like candy. Well that or you can try to raise another plant type by breeding ,but I'm not sure what the fastast pokemon is though and getting spore as an egg move might be helpful...
I haven't touched the game in the while just too busy or sometimes it never crosses my thoughts much.
