the whole problem of regeneration can be circumvented by the dragonball z explanation which is "if you destroy it so thoroughly that not even a cell remains, it cannot regenerate."
which if Zero destroyed Weil that way then wiel could possibly die and stay dead. Zero while we see his helmit survives (sort of) is no indication that zero survived. just to give some number to show you how impossible it would be that zero actually survived:
Zero would be entering Earths atmosphere at about 7.8 kilometers per second ( or 28080 kilomters per hour ) and such a rate of movement would generate massive amounts of heat roughly to the tune of 7526.85 celcius. ( titanium boils at 3287 celcius and the surface of the sun is only 5726.85 celcius)
now remember in Zero 4, the sunlight in Sol titania's level would cause him to over heat? well at this point he would be well over heated on atmospheric reentry infact the only saving grace for zero would be that he wasn't absorbing all the heat by himself, the station would absorb alot of it, but still that much heat (even the leftover heat still) would destroy zero.

There is no question that Zero is dead, just whether or not he can be revived. As to Weil, well, he took a direct hit from Ragnarok. Surely some part of him could survive a measly reentry burn and subsequent crash? *shrugs*

my point is how can you regenerate from being completely destroyed, there would be nothing left....
also everytime Zero's died before, his control chip was still intact, thus allowing him to be revived, regardless of the state of his body. To completly disintegrate his body and control chip means revival of that Zero would be impossible. (you may be able to build a zero body and have an approximate zero personality but it would be a complete copy, not like the true Zero.)

well if ZX 2 comes out with a huge plot bewteen mmz and mmzx then yes ZERO is dead for good,..... i mean they had to KILL him of right....

it'd be an interesting twist to see the more the characters use the <letter>X forms, the more they become like that character and the harder it gets to use other forms, until that favoured form joins with them completely and thus that person is reborn so to speak.
but even still if that did happen they reborn person might have memories of battles and abilities but not the personalities of the characters themselves.

Well in part of the game you have to fight Girouette and I think he's a good guy. You have to fight him while he's in Model Z so thats pretty much what his personality would be.

I've heard rumors that you could see Zero's silhouette in Ragnarok's crash, although it's very faint. And another, being his helmet.
Anyways, ya know in ZX that commander girl with the doll and she says she's looking for the ex-commander. Which kinda reminds me of Alouette in a way. And please dont start yelling at me at how slow I am or something. I've never even played ZX.
