Well, I've never seen it mentioned...I like it a lot.

It's about this guy who has to "kill" a buch of ghosts called Hollows, while helping the other one's pass on (to put it breif). I've read more of the manga, but the anime is pretty good looking though.

Bleach is about a young 15 year-old teen dude named Ichigo "Strawberry" Kurosaki. His family of a dad, and two sisters work for a clinic while Ichigo and one of his sisters are able to see "Ghosts." Ichigo also has friends like Inoue, she's able to summon these little fiary things which can "reject" stuff with a shield, and Chad/Sado is able the Gutsman, Super strength at will. Also Ishida is a "Quincy," a unit of people able to Desolate Hollows rather than send them into peace.
Bleach is an anime/manga of ghosts, Wholes are those with a heart or "spirit-link" hat can move around freely, Hollows are those without a heart and are transformed into beasts with a white mask provided to Hide their naked identity. In a Soul Society there are people to exterminate Hollows from bothering those of Earth called Shinigami/Death Gods/Soul Reapers. Ichigo is a Shinigami who uses a Soul Slayer to send Hollows in peace and hell. Shinigami are also inventors of weapons technologies and such. There are Mod Souls, able to take over a dead body and serve the Shinigami or whoever or themselves as free people/units. They contain super strength, speed, good singing voice, great jumping, well you know the works.

Bleach anime is my second favourite anime after Full Metal Alchemist. I really like Ichigo's Zombaktou, the no handle gives it that awesome look. I also like that big guy's arm.
It's a very good story, and very awesome. Those two who work with that fireworks woman are creepy though!
I've also seen a FanArt of Bleach by NGCats. I've even made MMZ Styled Ichigo sprites, I also have Bleach avatars.
It's the second best Anime I've seen!

Ichigos Zanboto (i think its spelled that way) was in the second form. The more concentrated form. The first one was an enlarge version of a katana, while the senond form was like a cleaver, missing the GUARD, no pommel, and the wierd bandage as a tassel. A sword has no part called a handle, the part you hold it is called the HILT. I wish people knew the simple facts. Ichigo's final zanboto is a thin black saber with a chain as a tassel. this is nearly all of his spirit energy concentrated into a small place. By the way, that fireworks chick lost her right arm. No idea how.

Gosh it's called a "Zanpakuto"

Get it right people -_-

and Every Zanpakuto have 3 forms
First it's dormant state which looks like a normal katana, tsurugi, whatever you may call it.

Second is Shikai which is its first release state, achieved through learning the name of your Zanpakuto

and finally the third is Bankai its fully released state achieved through defeating your own Zanpakutos avatar or spirit form.

It's actually a Zanpakutö.

The initial release (Shikai) is the first "upgraded" form available to a Zanpakutö. To activate it, the shinigami needs to learn the name of their Zanpakutö.

The final release (Bankai) is the second and final form of a Zanpakutö. To perform it, a shinigami must be able to materialize their Zanpakutö's spirit in the real world and subjugate it, giving the shinigami full reign over the Zanpakutö's power.

There's also the Arrancar release (Resurrección)
Arrancar, which are hollows that have removed their masks and gained shinigami powers, have zanpakutō and can perform something similar to a shinigami's initial release.
Unlike shinigami Zanpakutō, however, an arrancar's zanpakutō doesn't have a true spirit. Rather, it is simply the arrancar's hollow powers sealed into sword form. By releasing their zanpakutō in the same manner as a shinigami, an arrancar can release their hollow powers.

So we got Shikai, Bankai and Arrancar. So what is Ichigo's no handle sword? It's not a Bankai Zanpakuto is it? I think it might be a Shikai...

The big friggen cleaver you saw is the Shikai. The thinner black one is the Bankai. and I suppose he is knowledgeable, but I didn't have Wikipedia on another window when I spelled Zanpakutö wrong, so don't blame me for not giving a dam about "propar spelling" (does the limp hand chest slap.)

I was pretty close, I was gonna put that "thing"(on top of "to"), but I didn't know how to.

The Bleach manga better hurry up coz the anime's not too far behind.

As I understand it Ichigo's bankai has a major problem... The compression of energy... how can he do that? if he has as much spirit power as evidenced (he is atleast on par with Zaraki Kenpachi) then he shouldn't be able to compress it...

but even if it is possible, wouldn't by compressing his energy actually make him weaker and more unstable/vulnerable? (because by compressing the energy into an even more concentrated form it would require alot of energy to do it, and if he slipped for a second such as if he were attacked by a strong technique, the massive release of it would be like a bomb of spirit energy going off...)

I just the 1st 3 eps so i dont know as much as you guys.....

but its a great anime, my fave next to naruto....
well probably compressing that power would make it more concentrated but probably let it reduce, then make it more concentrated, that way it wont probably explode like you said, any complaints bout that are answered in the 1st sentence i wrote.

It's more like the power-of-a-hydrogen-bomb-in-a-single-bullet kinda deal. By compressing it into a smaller space, it becomes far more effective. Ichigo's major weakness is the fact that since he never had official Shinigami-training, he has no idea how to control his reiatsu, allowing it to flow freely. Since he is not capable of compressing it, his sword is incredibly large, always in Shikai-form.

This is why his Bankai improves on his one great flaw, by finally controlling all that Reiatsu and using it properly.

Due to Ichigo's lack of control or official training, he is also terrible at Kidö. Barely capable of controlling the giant orb the used to infiltrate Soul Society, and since he also lacks control over his Reiatsu, he would most likely end up overpowering his Kidö.
