Who is doppler? He was an evil doctor from Megaman X 2...his whereabouts at the moment are unknown....but, I think weil looks more like WIly....maybe it's the 32 bit vs the 18 bit...meh.

Hmm...well,one theory I have is that Wily may NOT be weil...but he could be pulling the strings.
For example...
Wily was the original enemy.
In X he had actually, belive it or not,met sigma! So,he may or may not be controlling SIGMA,considering that he has the virus that Zero ORIGINALLY had.( Check Planet Megaman. It does say that Sigma and Wily met up some where.)
And it could be the same case in Megaman Zero. HOwever, facts are limited at this moment.
Skip about 3 thousand years ahead to the Legends series. Wily is not in the series. Basic solution, he's dead. THe only connection from the legends series to the otehr series is the Mother Unit symbol. Look at the Mark on Sigma's Forehead in most games ( MMX7 ) and you'll see a very strange symbol. A red dot with three metal hooks sticking otu of it. This can also be found on Sera, Yuna, and the other ancients in MML2.Also, you can find it on the front of Megaman Juno.(The final boss from the first legends game)
So, if Wily and Sigma are connected...then could Wily be somehow connected to Legends? And what about the strange symbol?Well,I doubt that Wily could live as long as legends. Legends takes place A thousand years AFTER the X series. Wily IS somehow alive in the X series, perhaps through Hologram or as a virus. But, he has yet to show himself in any other series. ( other than Battle chip...but that doesn't play intot he actual storyline)

Actually...there are lots of facts leading to a connection between the legends series and the X series. There was a HUGE megaman book that was only released in Japan. Someone leaked it onto the internet...with an english translation.I never read it,myself, but someone(from legends station which is the LARGEST MML site on the internet) said that the legends series was connected.
AND...I did read that Wily met Sigma...check Gren's Mail bag on planet-megaman.com Trust me...Gren is like...the ultimate Megaman god ,or something!
That and...some ruins in MMZ have Reaverbot eyes in teh background. Hmm...
Also...I am not sure where this is from but in one Megaman X game this is said..
X:I wanted to create Elysium! A place where Reploids and humans can live in peace!
Elysium is the homeplanet of Trigger in Legends 2....however, the majority of the game is taken place on Tera! Tera...sound familiar? It should! It was the planet that Megaman had to travel to in Megaman 5 for the gameboy!
BUT,as we all know,X dies somewhere in between X and Zero....so...who built Elysium?
Now...let me hear your facts! ;D

Wily made Zero and the "zero virus." THe zero virus is now known as the Sigma virus...since Sigma kinda pucnhed a hole in Zero's head.

While Weil does look a bit like Doppler, anyone who's seen the concept art for him can tell he's really Dr. Wily with a very poor attempt to hide his identity. But what's astounding is that the characters of the series are actually oblivious to it. Zero has an excuse 'though, he didn't know who Dr. Wily was in the X series, and there's still the whole amnesia thing from being woken up after a century long nap. But really, what excuse does the rest of the cast have for not noticing? It's gotten too the point where there isn't even any need to keep it a secret, because any attempt made by Capcom's translation team to keep it a secret was sub-par at best.
Here's official concept art for the Dr. Weil character, courtesy of planet-megaman.com:
www.planet-megaman.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=32&pos=0
Let's look at the similarities: Bald head, wild hair on the sides, long nose, seems to know everything about Zero's past and his inner workings, desire for destruction but always hiding behind technology and getting away at the last minute, etc. While nothing is entirely proven, if you ask me, either this guy is just a lazy alter-ego for Dr. Wily, or the result of lazy character design on Capcom's part.

*sigh*that's true they do look alike but if he was dr. wily wouldn't he have already devised something to control zero by now bairu(weil) is nothing more than the man who corrupted mother elf during the elf wars and did some research on his enemy
