Zero was originally intended to be a girl, but capcom wasn't sure if that was the right move.(notice how when they mention zero in the original MMX they dont use he or she.) By the time X2 rolled into town capcom felt zero would fit into the story as a man. Either that or its a bisexual women with a deep voice.(X4) It's a fact that there is no he or she in the first X game. But then again, he didn't had those "gems" until X2 |
