Heres a little announcement regarding sprite theft and our policy here at FlameZero Boards from now on.
Sprite theft; involves taking a sprite, either from a sprite sheet, off of a forum or maybe even one you found on Google and using it without the creator's permission. Unless you have the creator's permission or the sprites are marked PD they aren't for your use. That also means you can't recolor them and change a few pixels, that doesn't make them yours.
Before now, the policy regarding sprite theft has been a warning, and an explanation as to what sprite theft is. Second offenses usually resulted in the banning of the offending member. This topic is now everyone's warning. From now on, if you are caught stealing sprites you [you]will[/you] be banned.
If you have any questions regarding sprite theft I encourage you to contact me or any of the other staff before you use someone's sprites, we can let you know if you're doing something wrong.

Two of our members have recently been caught stealing sprites. One of them was banned, it was his second offense, and the other member has been warned.
Vile, if you're ok with others using your sprites make sure that the first post in your thread lets people know what is PD and what isn't. Either that or label each individual sheet.

Whoa, I never would have expected a thread like this to go up, but then again, there have been several instances within sprite threads where I've seen people complain about this. What must be done must be done.

editing ripped sprites isn't sprite theft. and you can't ask credit if you ripped the sprites, because YOU din't made them. you can edit them if you want.

.... couldnt the mods just ask them 1st? before banning them? otherwise its just rush rush rush... In Shaolin, your body inhabits 2 animals, the Dragon of the mind, the Tiger of the Body, the tiger, strikes without thinking, it could get it killed one day, as while the Dragon will confirm the target before striking or further actions.
Take that in mind, its kinda useful

Oh really? if you think i was wise, i learned it from my master... but he doesnt teach individually, its like a school.
EDIT: anyways there was more to it, your body is Ying Yang made, the black is the tiger, white is the dragon, so thats the base... Anyways a tiger strikes 1st, it doesnt care what happens afterwards, a dragon makes sure its safe, so it doesnt suffer for foolhardiness.
