Yes, another 8-bit downloadable game for the Wii, and most likely other systems is soon to be available. www.themmnetwork.com/2009/12/09/mega-man-10/It seems that Protoman is playable from the start with a heavily rumored Bass third, as they have announced a third party character. The game is thought now to be 2 player, making a co-op Megaman game finally a realty. Wither on not the game is three players has not been announced. So far teh first robotmaster, sheepman, has been announced as an electric based boss who uses four clouds to attack. Kinda like a scapegoat tactic in my opinion. As you'll also notice this game has amazing box art. Like megaman 9, its ment to look nothing like the game itself, but in all honesty I think the cover looks amazing. They even put in Mecha Dragon from MM2 in the background of it, and that new mask and beam sword Proto has looks phenomenal. Rock's new orange visor looks cool and I like the giant M on his chest that reminds me of Superman. I's honestly psyched for this game, and after seeing Sheepman, I think I should really submit some of my robotmasters, like hertzman, In hopes of seeing them in an actual game.

I demand 8-Bit Rush Cycle. It is essential to the experience. Essential, I say!

WEEEE MORE REHASH I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH WIIPOINTS TO GET ONCE AGAIN!!!!! Storyline is about a virus. I'm not suggesting it has direct connectivity to what's to come for the X series, but perhaps this game holds the moment Wily started thinking about what kind of edge Zero is supposed to have.

I was super-stoked when I heard this. Personally, I think that (Spoiler?) the schematics for Bass in 9 were a tip-off that there would be a sequal and that he'd be playable. (end possible spoiler) Guess we'll just have to wait and see if I was right. I think that Inafune is just that awesome.

Well, I have mixed opinions about this game seeing as how I'm not all that fond of the classic Megaman series anyway. I skipped MM9 and I'm probably gonna skip this one. Why? Because I don't like digital distribution... if I pay for something I want a physical copy of it. So maybe when they make up to Megaman 22 and decide to put it all on one disc again I might buy it. The only way I'd consider buying a digital copy is if they made an MMX game like that.
Though I do like how in the article they mention that now there is no longer any issue of Megaman X thought of as Megaman 10.

Well since the plot of the game is Megaman finding a cure for some kind of virus which affects robots, makes them overheat and break down or else go berzerk we might finally have some tie to the X series. The box art, which portrays Rock in bulkier looking armor with the red crystal in his helmet, as well as Protoman with an energy sword and a yellow cape which looks quite a bit like hair... as well as an energy shield which is similar to the shield boomerang. They made them look as close to X and Zero as they could without making them X and Zero.
Anyway, Roll gets whatever Virus this is and supposably Rock has to ally with Wily to find a cure. Maybe Wily donates Bass to the cause and bingo, there you have your reason for a playable Bass.
This is speculation only, but maybe this Robot Influenzia isn't Wily's doing, but in helping Rock solve it he gets the idea for the Zero Virus. We might have a tie in at long last.
Also, second Robot Master is revealed. Commando Man.

Well will say as who the third character possibly would be. I always thought its be Duo ,but Bass is close enough for speculation terms right?

Well if we're going to talk story, then here's my two cents: This and nine and any original series games that come after it never happened. And for the link to the X series finally happening, it'll never make sense because of the plot of MM9. Elaboration here.To summarize, in X1 Dr. Light's message in X's capsule warns that X's unique and innovative new feature of free will makes him extremely dangerous. In MM9, the robot masters turned evil of their own free will, with little-to-no influence from Wily outside of a Hitler-esque rally of rebellion against their human oppressors who arbitrarily deem them obsolete and such. If Dr. Light had already built eight robots with free will before X, then why would he claim that it's a new feature in his warning? And if he built X before the robot masters, then he must've found a faster way to confirm their trustworthiness, so why didn't he use that on X? The connection between the original series and the X series had always been dodgy, but MM9's very premise leaves no possibility outside of the two being parallel realities.

Hmmm... Now that is a good thought? Come to think of it I was wondering that myself... Good call Miguel. Well I'd assume Dr. Light be Working on X still at that point ,but now you see some proto types already running amok with that abillity. Plot holes again...

Nah, it still works. If you look at the cutscene where Wily is talking to all the Robot Masters in 9, he tells them that they'll all be scrapped and their response is "Of course, when we are of no more use that's what happens."
Then Wily says that the humans use them, and as soon as the robots are no longer useful they're destroyed. Doesn't that make you robots angry?
To which the Robot Masters reply "..." This seems to inducate that they'd never thought about it that way before, and aren't quite sure how to process this new information. But what they say next isn't outright rebellious.
"You may be right. There is still much that we can do. Can you repair us?"
They aren't really using strong words, emotions or anything there. They want to live longer, yes, but not for selfish reasons. They want Wily to repair them so they can be useful for longer. And of course, all repairs by Dr. Wily come with a customary reprogramming and a new love for violence.
So I'm going to disagree with you Miguel, watch that cutscene again and see if you don't come to a new conclusion. Despite the simplie dialogue, I think the writting was perfect, designed so that they would have an excuse they could use if anyone said the Robot Masters were exercising free will.

Commando Man is awesome. However I'm a bit dissapointed with these two robotmasters in comparison to the ones in MM9. Looking at them along with the screenshots of the stages Im getting a feeling, no more than a feeling that this game is going to feel like MM4~5 which as we all know were not all that great. However the co-op, if it is there, will hopefully make up for it.

I like Sheepman. I want to cosplay him. Especially before the game comes out. Because everyone will be like "The hell are you?" And I'll be like "Sheepman!!" and everyone will still be like "The hell are you?"
Also, Commandoman is pretty awesome. Lookin forward to him. Altogether, I'm excited about this game. Potential co-op is amazing, as is potential Bass. Even as dlc.
