dang, so its exclusive for wii, with nes graphics... hm... WTF!? We go to PS1 graphics then 3 gens later we go back to NES graphics... I was seriously expecting Better, Lets hope if there is ever a Megaman X9 its PS1 sprite graphics, or atleast PS3 Graphics, or as a matter of fact a Legendz 3 PS3 graphics, or one for the PSP... C'mon. Their remaking Megaman 9 out of all the other Megaman Franchise they could have revived?

Well Jovany if they wanted to chose something to revive than the original series is their best bet to fix the first big missing loop that led to the X series but, if it doesn't it doesn't than we pretty much got a game that didn't really further the story that much...

I thought you killed 8 bosses, stopped willy, then he comes back for his revenge every time... What other story is there to tell? |

MM1 - Wily cooperates with Light to create Robots that would help humanity. In the end Wily steals those robots and uses them for WORLD DOMINATION. Rock, one of the robots that managed to escape the kidnapping, asked Light to become a battle robot, becoming MegaMan.
MM2 - Nothing really. Wily creates his own robots this time
MM3 - A robot called "BreakMan" appears in this game to help train MegaMan. In the end, it's revealed to be ProtoMan, one of Rock's brothers.
MM4 - Wily kidnaps a girl called Kalinka, and blackmails Dr.Cossack to create the robots for him to dominate the world. When ProtoMan rescues Kalinka, Dr.Cossack joins MegaMan's side and both defeat Wily again.
MM5 - ProtoMan kidnaps Dr.Light and leads Robot Masters to world domination. In the end, it is discovered that it's a fake ProtoMan (DarkMan in disguise) and both him and the real one defeat Wily. Again.
MM6 - A mysterious Dr.X hosts a world robot tournament. Various robots are enlisted, in the end Dr.X is revealed to be Wily, who kidnaps the robots and makes them his own, like MM1.
MM7 - MegaMan saves a robot called Bass. Both become friends, until Bass destroys Dr.Light's lab and steals the Rush Adapter, taking it to Wily (Creating the Treble Adapter which is fought in the fortress).
MM8 - Some "Evil Energy" which is never explained falls onto Earth. An alien robot called Duo appears, whose objective is to destroy the Evil Energy. Wily tries to harness the energy and make his robots more powerful (Like Bass). In the end both are stopped. Duo leaves. |

Well what Raikon said was the sum of each of the games. So the each do have a story about them. I probably might be contradicting myself in another reply on a different thread but, as stated those where the stories too each of the games.

Duo leaves.ok, All I remember when I was a kid is that the original Megaman Games were hard as F***, and I never read any of the dialouge, every game look the same except with diffrent ----MANs, seriously, there could have been no dialouge and I would never have noticed... So any way I problably am Going to spoil the Plot for megaman 9 but here goes Wiley returns, creates 8 evil robots and is ultimate deafeated |

You're probably not too far off, but you have to consider a couple of things. First of all, this game will be able to convey much more story than the old NES games. The NES games never had much story to them because of two things. One, story wasn't expected in games way back when. As long as the story was in the manual, no one saw any point in programming the story into the game. Two, time and space restrictions made putting the story in-game too costly or difficult respectively.
Another thing to consider is the fact that because this game is being made with WiiWare and not the Virtual Console NES, they are basically making a NES game with Wii level technology. That means that it may look exactly like an NES game but the developers have a lot more to work with. This means that the story for MM9 will be much more fleshed out compaired to a NES Megaman game.
And to Jovany, good graphics DO NOT make a good game. It doesn't matter if the game looks NES as long as it's good.

The nes Sprites feel more restrictive, the PS1 sprites lets you actually move and jump places you want to go, but actually my first game was X2, so I grew up with Dash and Wall Climb, then I bought the Megaman 2 NES game for my NES (since I was too poor to affoard a SNES back in the day, I had a SNES and Sega Genesis While People Had PS1, N64, and Dreamcast... But I caught up from PS2 onwards ;D) |

All points proven by track and thanks and plus do you think anyone ever reads the manuals? I'm famous for that with a lot of the nes games so yeah. Gameplay is always more important than graphics. Sure we have games now where the graphics generator is considered top notch and going back to nes graphics is probably the best idea in a long time. And to Jovany wow that must have sucked for you hardcore. At least you got to update later but, you missed out some extremely good games for the PSX. Oh tears for you.

Wiiware is the crap you buy from the wii online and whatnot, yes?
I've never dealt with credit cards yet, and my step dad doesn't feel too strongly about buying from the wii. Either that or he's just that damn lazy. You guys be sure tot ell me how the game is when/if you get it. And gimme a copy of the arranges when the come out....the music sounds lovable.

Just get a Wii Points card. 20 bucks for 2000 points. That's what I do.
I'm just hoping that the Robot Master powers are actually useful in this game. The later games in the NES part of the series seemed mostly useless and there was really no incentive to use them. MM1, MM2, and MM8 had the most usable powers in my opinion.
(Oh, and someone dies if there's ANOTHER shield power in this game. I'm getting real tired of leaves, skulls, petals and junk!)
