The 8 bit version was the best. The 7 version I hated... And the 8 wersion was okay but, did they have to ditch the rush adaptor armor? Come on!

The interview with Inafune does confirm that the sounds will be 8bit (For anyone that didn't believe so). The music will be composed by the person that worked on MMZ's music (From Inti Creates)
Inafune says that he'd like to do a bunch more of these 8-bit MM games, if he had everyone's support.
The game also has 20 people as staff (Which is HUEEEGGG for a NES game's staff)
It is WiiWare exclusive.
The list of Robot Masters Tank posted is indeed correct. Including the first Female Robot Master Magma Man Galaxy Man Jewel Man Concrete Man Hornet Man Plug Man Tornado Man Splash Woman
Rush will be back, confirmed by Inafune.
When asked that if Megaman was the only playable character, Inafune said "Shhh, that's classified". Which leads a bit to believe that there will be other playable characters (Probably Protoman or even Bass)
It has the usual MM storyline. 8 Robot Masters. Except this time Wily says Dr. Light built them, Megaman goes out to prove his innocence (Reminds me of MM5's plotline)

I see... So it replay's MM5's plot where you had to prove Protoman's innocense and what not.

That was kind of fun actually. Personally, sometimes I wish Protoman would have been evil, although once they made Bass it wasn't necessary.

Meh, I'm glad Protoman is good. He's a much better character than the evil Protoman in that Ruby Spears cartoon years ago..
So I was thinking about all the endings to the Power Battles 2. Can anyone else see them bringing Duo back? In all of his endings he said he'd come back to Earth someday. Perhaps to help out once Zero is finally completed, only to die at his hands? I guess we'll have to see.
I've gotta believe this is the last game for the origanal series and that they'd bring closure to everybody. I could be wrong, maybe there'll be a MM10. But the roman numberal for 10 is X. So if X1 was MM10 that'd be the perfect bridge to the story. Cool discovery but probably just a coincidence. Even so, I've gotta believe this'll be the last game.

It could possibly but, you know how Capcom seems to love to hold out on games with gaps that could lead us to the next series and so forth.Well it's good start I think to really revamp back into the original series for change and heck that might even have to play as Bass if you want to fight Megaman and win for a change oh well I always wanted to see Megaman at least get beaten once by him before it's all over and Zero literally kills everybody.

Come on, you know if Bass even starts to get the upper hand then Protoman or Duo or someone else will come bail Mega out. Bass is never going to beat him outright.

But they could give them one final battle that they both die in. I can see it now. He's the last boss, and right at the end, the battle stops and a cutscene comes where they give it their all in one final clash. Before we could see who the victor is, it cuts off.......
then zero comes and kills everyone else.
something like that, yea. But other than that, I also kinda doubt they'd ever let bass get a good moment.

I don't think this will be the last classic game. If it sells well then capcom, along wiht other companies, will begin to make more and more NES based games. If you really think about it the game would only take like a week to make with the technology we have now. I really hope this this leads to more and more 8-bit megaman games becuse to me they were the hardest of them all.

So I was thinking about all the endings to the Power Battles 2. Can anyone else see them bringing Duo back? In all of his endings he said he'd come back to Earth someday. Perhaps to help out once Zero is finally completed, only to die at his hands? I guess we'll have to see. Well, Duo does have to return at some point. The reason why is simple. First of all, we all know that in the X series X and Zero can't be fully analyzed. My theory is that Light based X's circuitry on some of Duo's, an advanced alien system that few would ever understand. In the same vein, I believe that Wily based Zero's circuitry on the meteor he found in MM8 which in reality was part of a robot that had fully integrated with the Evil Energy. And then there's Wily's crowning achievement, the Maverick Virus. I hold the belief that the Virus is simply a digitized version of the original Evil Energy. All of this together would explain why it makes reploids go mad with destructive thoughts, and why Zero, a robot built from alien technology, would only get stronger. Supposing that I'm right, Duo will have to return at some point to finish off the remaining Evil Energy. Even if he can't recognize it yet. After all, Power Battles 2 also mentioned that Duo had found more Evil Energy, despite him thinking that all of it was eradicated in MM8. (Sorry about the long post...I have a tendency to ramble ;D)

Well, you all know Capcom. That may be the real story but they'll never explain it all. I just hope that this game is as good as Megaman V (GB). That and MM2 are the best in my book.
And as another note towards my previous post, the reason why Sigma was able to completely integrate with the Virus is because he was a one of a kind reploid meant to be immune to becoming Maverick. His exact circuit build was perfect for the Virus, and if another robot like him had ever been made, they might have become just like Sigma. Of course, all Mavericks before Sigma were ones that simply malfunctioned or had decided on their own to turn. Sigma (and perhaps Zero) were the first to use the virus to turn Reploids into Mavericks.

You seem to have come up with better points than I could come up with. Heck they mast points are the ones where you ramble on anyways.

Yeah, and all your points make sense Track. You obviously know most of the side-games as well as knowing the mainline story games.
