By far, Spider is the better character between him and Axl. Unfortunately, you lose him.
I prefer Cinammon with X and Zero myself.

That's the party I use. X for flying enemies, Zero for ground, Cinnamon for healing. (My set up with Cinnamon is such that she can heal 60-70% every time she goes. Generator and energy wave... of the thing that lets boosts +10 WE for the other's next turns.) If I have to I swap out someone then its either Zero or Cinnamon for Axl... Never X as I find he's far too versatile and I find there's never a need to remove him.

Well, of course I used Spider more than Axl too, but after I found out that Spider was a lost cause for half of the game, I started new files and stopped focusing on him(aside from using him of course)

The funny thing is that I use Cinnamon as an attack character as well as a healer.

Oh yes, I have that game now. I also think it's good. Finishing the game ( I haven't yet) is one thing but getting it all is another story. I was also searching for the secret stuff too. Fighting those red and green girls was a big pain and they won every time I fought them, but one day I sucseesed. Wanna know how I did it? I first focused completely on the leader since she was the most dangerous, I had to use my hyper modes and use the are button for Megaman's X fire armor. It took me awhile but I finaly beat them. There was also those Duck looking guys I fought and won. I thought they were the funniest bosses. But I remembered not to use fire weapons since they absorb them. But the Giga city tower basement I never was able to get the key for that one. (I like to know how to get that one)
So ask me other stuff about it? I love to hear.

The Giga City's basement key is obtained after beating the final boss, and there's a good reason for that.

You will definitely be happy you have the two secret hyper modes once you use that key. The bosses you face there are on steroids.

The clan's not really that hard. I just waited until I'd leveled up to the late thirties before taking them on. I beat each of them on my first try and the only one who did any dieing was Zero, who I used two BackUps on against NineTails. And yeah, my perfect party is Cinnamon Zero and X. Cinnamon has three functions: taking down the enemies with the Kitty Gloves, increasing everyone's WE with a Generator and an Energy Field, and keeping everyone alive with her Action Trigger. Zero's function was being the Juggernaut, bi*ch. And going SSJ-Over Nine Thousand on the irritating enemies. X's function was handeling the ranged combat and going Terminator on more Troublesome opponents.

I waited till I was in my fiftys then rocked them all with the Fire armor. I dono why but I love that armor more than anyother Rockman X armor. Blade is a close tie though.

The Last time I did it, all of my characters were already at 99. However, typically, my levels are mid-30s and I have to try 9-tails a couple of times because I have to steal a Build Hyper from him. Either that plays into it or he just happens to get 2 turns in a row and does Anihilator Hadouken on both of those moves. However, what I really hate is when he does Regeneration on me and then slaughters my whole team.

I don't think i used the axl trick on the tails. heck, i don't think i used any strategy at all. Yea, that's right, those were the best fights ever. I matched my brute strength with theirs. Just liek with everyone else, Zero was usually the first to die lol. I remember once when I was fighting the 8&9th, they had X(only) hanging by a mere thread. They gave it their all against me, I was just lucky enough to heal everyone back up. I wish I could re-fight one of them though. I remember that one of them took pity on me and healed me. wether:
1. They actually took pity on me or
2. I interested them.
It was strange and somethin new. Though I'd like to fight that one without him healing me. It put a little dent in my pride...lol

Actually several of them will heal you. Ninetails does it and I believe the Onetails does. I think Fivetails does as well, but I'm not sure.

I know, but they only did it for me once. All the other times, they threatened to actually kill me off by leaving X with 135 LE while Zero and Axl are dead lol...

The only thing I know for sure is that they won't do it unless you are down to one party member.
