hello, im noew to this forum i actually registerd just because there was no FMA topic. anyway fma is one of the best animes ever made(its not only my opinion it won like 6 anime award in tokyo its like 6 oscars!) the anime filled with drama, action ,humor and philosophy! humanss moral and such. i reallt recomend you to start atching the series just one warning: wait a few ep and it will be interesting even though its weird but the anime starts with a filler

Seen it, can't get my hands on the movie(s)
It certainly is great, but I'm an epic-action type of a guy, and there are quite a few animes that beat it in that catagory. Nevertheless, it is good though.

fma is one of the best animes ever made I could start ranting about how wrong that sentence is. Oh fine. FMA Anime is really bad. REALLY bad. The story was all screwed up when they seperated from the original storyline (Manga) and it all went downhill from there, since they're not using the original story, they left a brutal amount of plotholes in the anime that weren't explained! How is that a great anime?! That's the anime, now about the manga. The manga is bloody amazing, the depth in the story and the characters is immense, which the anime lacks alot. I'm pretty hooked up with the Manga and I can't wait for the finale. (It's on the final arc.)

I have to go wiht Raikon. In the anime they added peopel and left out alot. But they left out the best part of the whole story, the war in ishbal! They left out the whole back story to it and it infureated me! Because I love kimbly and that gave him awesome screentime.

Do you even pay attention when the screen moves..? Hohenheim is Ed and Al's dad. I'd go into more detail, but I'm afraid of the -smacking I might receive for being wrong.

In terms of animation i'd say it's really good... but once an anime strays from the original storyline, it gets a little unoriginal...

That is true for most new gen animes and some older ones as well... However yeah I just had a refresher course on it and I now remember a bit more about it... And its not that impressive as for story goes throught out the whole show but, yeah the animations was good and some of the voice actors need a good kick in the pants...

So you watch English dubs or Japanese?
Coz out of most animes and games, I mostly prefer Japanese, as their VA's are more skilled in those areas. But there are a few exceptions like the Street Fighter II anime movie.
Now onto the topic of FMA, as everyone says it started to get boring as it strayed from the main storyline, and it cfan't e helped as how long has the manga been going for now since the anime finished?
The movie's ending disappointed me.
