Cataclysm Questions

Hey,I had some questions about the cataclysm that killed off al the origonal megaman characters. Who lived throughit? Was Zero de-activated by someone?

I'm ansking because I'm doing acomic about the cataclysm (the first comic is img251.imageshack.us/my.php?image=catcomic12pa.png , kinda distorted)

Hmm, let me re-phrase that...

What happened between Megaman 8 and X1.

I know Zero was activated, but not really anything else...

Thats the only thing everyone knows. Some people believe Zero killed Megaman, others think X is Megaman and others think that the original cast is hanging around drunk in a bar.

Everything that is known is that Dr.Wily created Zero to kill Megaman and Dr.Light.
No one knows if he succeeded or failed and they are in a bunker controlling Dr.Light's holograms for X.

now that zero's active you can pretty much make up the story as you want. one thing thats known is he's a maverick at some point ( where the virus is passed to sigma, and possibly while dr. wily is there )

I say Dante took a warp into the future and killed them all. He then modelled a maverick after himself, and disappeared. The maverick... oh hell, my theory already sucks, time travel... lame.

- My Theory (Its acctually basicly the truth) -i know i am double posting but don't ban me.
Do you ever wonder who Mega Man X is? I have all his secrets. Mega Man X is Dr. Lights Creation. Mega Man is Mega Man X. When Wily Beat Mega Man With his new creation, Dr. Light Gave Mega Man an Upgrade to his Armor and stuck him underground know as his Top Secret X Project. Later on Dr Wily's New Creation Broke into His lab and killed Dr. Light. Dr Wily's New Creation was Zero (if you played Mega Man X4, When you started a new game with Zero you will see the cinema of what happend). Zero was a maverick at the time. Then Zero's his Maverick days where over and he helped Dr. Cain Assist him in his Robot making lab. Dr. Cain went out on a Dig and found X (Mega ManX) and then Dr. Cain Wrote a Dairy on Mega Man X and that he acts like he is Human. Mega Man X cant remember anything that happend from the past. And now he chose to fight against the Mavericks and Reploids to make a Utopia. And he isn't sure if he is doing the right thing, he hesitates in every battle he has fought. He thinks he will become a Maverick like Zero and all the other Reploids and Even Sigma.

well my theory is this:

megaman protected people for many years, saving the day until dr light got sick, before that he had been workign on a new project, soon dr wily discovered it and began work on his own code named zero, for the very first ever of his kind. but wily was not as patient as light, he hurriedly activated zero and gave him the virus as his core programming. megaman was then killed by zero, but his core was saved and installed into the project light had been working on. X recieved megaman's core, but no memories or anything else attached , giving them the same basic characteristics. but since X had freedom of choice even with megaman's core, it could potentially allow him to break the robotics rule. so dr light had to make sure so he
re-sealed X away, in a capsule for 30 yrs, zero returned to wily and went beserk, having completed his mission. wily shut zero down. and locked him away. with his life's goal almost in sight dr wily had a heart attack and died.

15 years later Dr light dies leaving behind a legacy for x to discover, the place where x is seal begins to fall apart with the death of the only person who maintained it.

15 yrs after dr light's death, dr cain discovers the lab on an archealogical dig in the area of an abandoned city ruin. on their 2nd final day, they make the discovery of a lifetime, the chamber x's capsule was in. they open it and several machines spring to life, teh time runs down and states X will be completely tested in 1 hour. they anxiously wait. the hour arrives and with a hiss of ancient air escapign the capsule X awakes to a new world.

2 months later dr cain has studied the blueprints of X and has made many copies. in another part of the world Zero's sleep is disturbed by a group of tourists, he awakes with a veangence, and killes everyone there, making the first maverick outbreak.

1 week later more reploids are infected, Sigma is commissioned to stop them, he faces zero. and becomes maverick, X joins the hunters shortly after sigma goes maverick and zero joins after being cleared of his maverick status.

yeah its kinda similar, but the diff is megaman is dead, not upgraded, the core of him being his attitude and sense of justice. and in mine zero sleeps. also deals with maverick zero fighting sigam as presented in x4.

Yah know, I just realized something....

If Protoman was able to leave his home and go on being good/evil/whatever, doesn't that mean hedecided what he did?

So is Protoman some kinda precursor to all the reploids?
