According to the Rockman Zero Official Complete Works book, it says that they died when Omega exploded
And the picture that was shown on the OST Physis cover was confirmed to be nothing more but fan service
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but I reckon you guys already figured this out.

Well, then I guess the entire Zero series are wrapped up now.
They could have been more clear about this in the game though...

I'd heard that they had died in Omega's explosion but that didn't sound right, especially after seeing that picture of the guardians alive and well, watching Ragnarok fall. I'm not sure what to think for this but like ICR said, it would've been nice if they explained it in Z4, I missed not seeing those guys all game.

this is news to me i mean wow this is unsuspecting. what am i saying how do we know if they're dead or just in hiding. maybe capcom didnt want them to be on there to make us think, or they didnt have any lines
