He is retarded and a ripoff of X in Megaman X7
But in X8 he is very good and original, they develop his story in X8 (Well, not much really)

You know I agree..kinda. I heard Bass might be in X9 or something. But Axl is just used in the games to make more "Money " Lol...I think Axl looks cool. But the whole X series is a big Money maker.

Meh, i think Axl is kinda cool, but his voice could have been deeper, and he could have been a little more dark, you know, cruel and serious. He is kind of cool because he uses pistols instead of a buster. speaking of which, if X could change both of his hands into the X-buster, why didn't he ever use BOTH at the same time?
another cool thing about Axl, hover boots and the X scar. the big jewel like things on his head and chest are pointless and they bring down his coolness.

ZeroCross, the very reason why Axl is the polar opposite of everything you think he should be is because he is YOUNG.

In the respect of personality he is about 16 years old.

As for the double-buster X, the only logical explanation I can think of is that using the X Buster uses great amounts of energy. Note the fact that it can not only charge blasts, but can charge the weaponry of other Reploids and Mavericks. Think of how much energy that may require, as not all reploids are built the same. A reploid could use 10 times as much energy for his weapon, and yet X could still use it AND charge it. It must take a great deal of energy to do so.

The X buster isn't as rapid-fire as Axl's pistols. If it were, X would probably exhaust his reserves rather quickly.

It could also be the fact that the X Buster is rather heavy, or that it's so powerful that due to recoil he has to hold it steady. The only time he doesn't seem to do so is when running, but I'm not sure about the reasoning behind that.

Now, this isn't speaking about game logic, because games are illogical to a fault in many cases, like why/how Zero and Sigma made continuous reappearances when by all laws of logic they should've been dead. I speak on a logical point of view, so bear with me.

hes gonna keep saying this until you stop i learned that the hard way (look at megaman zero 5; again in the megaman zero section)
