I've read the rules on like 3 other forums and they are all the same. I didn't read the rules because I didn't think they would be so different! I mean, no posting after a month has passed? What's it gonna hurt? At least you have a chance of reviving the topic.

It means you get a warning.Do it more and risk getting banned plus it really gets annoying if someone revives dead topics who has been dead perhaps over 3-4 months.

Back on topic from now on, then

base.......bass.....maybe it's different in japan and in america, i say bass! In Japan it's Forte, just like Rockman is Megaman, Blues is Protoman etc. I hate it when people pronounce it "bass" like a fish It is pronounced "base", I dunno if YOU have noticed but the names have to do with music, so pronouncing it like a fish wouldn't make much sense would it?

It depends where you live and your accent Its supposed to be like the musical term, over here in Australia we say "Base" but other people might say it "Bass" in another contry, so it goes either way

OH! I HAVE OFFICIAL PROOF! Although it doesn't make sense in context of the word, it's pronounced like the fish. Don't belive me? Play MM8 again. In the opening FMV, Megaman says it like the fish . But if you ask me, Base just doesn't sound right anyway. But screw it, the japanese names are better anyway. Forte and Gospel! Whoo! Gospel Armor sounds alot better than Treble Armor. XD (P.S. I revived the topic huh? Sorry, I won't do it again...)

your right, i just watched that clip and it is pronounced like the fish. but i think in nt warrior they say bass as in the music type because it fits better with the digital reality they created, but for all other purposes bass is named after the fish.

Okay, so I figured it out. If you know anything about japanese language, you'd now that the long A sound in Base doesn't exist in japanese. So during translation, the name was probably refered to as Basu, or something like that. And since then it has stuck. I like knowing Japanese.
