i am not sure where to put this thread but... i just wanted to know if i could make a small flash clip and turn it into an avatar, ive tried but it doesnt work....can someone help? please

try making the flash clip then exporting it as an animated gif.

I don't think many boards support .swf's for security reasons. Export as a .gif if's just an animation.

i get that but how do i export it as a gif? do i make it that way?

to export as animated gif- go to File -> publish settings ( or pressing control + shift + F12 )
then on the format's tab click the animated gif, or you can always go to file -> export -> export movie then from the dropdown menu pick animated gif.
there done.
