i would really appreciate it if you had a tutorial for making running loops and such out of sprites. 'Kay. 1) See this tutorial.
2) On the stage, outside of the movie clip, add a background, either one that loops well, or a really long one. I'll be using one that loops well.
3)Place the sprite and background on a different level (optional, keeps things tidy) then select the background you've imported and make it a movie clip.
4)Next, edit the movie clip, (you may have to zoom out to see all of the background,) add a few frames--less if the sprite runs fast, more if the sprite walks--then duplicate the image. Drag it so it will align with the original background, and then group them together (optional).
*You made have to flip the background and repeat step 4 if it does not connect perfectly. Unfourtunately my background is slightly off, so I had to flip it.
5)Drag the background so that it matches perfectly. The duplicate is where the original once was, and the original is shifted over by it's exact dimensions. (If the background was 200 in width [not including the duplicate], and the background is sliding to the left, it is now -200 on the x-axis.)
6)You're done! See it here.Hope that helps.

Ummm... I'm pretty sure I explained that in either Step 1, or this entire tutorial.
