Well this has become a nice discussion.
Considering storms do get more aggresive every year due to the excessive climate change, It may be unwise to rebuild it.
But then again, I don't think the remaining citizens will just go and happily life somewhere else.

Yes, that is the debate...I mean, would you like it if you had to move suddenly, away from where your faimly lived for generations? Most people wouldnt....and you really can't balme them..but all this money is comming from people elsewhare, who think they shoulf move....its a no-win situation!

yeah but think about this if they dont move next time the storm might kill all of them. then we wont have to worry about sending money to rebuilt. i know thats kinda sadistic but they have known for years that at 15ft below sea level, a storm would be disasterous. now while most of them have the option of leaving i suggest they take it, because if the storms are getting stronger, and more often they wont have time to rebuild before the next one might hit ( it would take approx 5yrs to rebuild everything to what it was. )
