Hey, many of you have probably heard of Hurricane Katrina destroying a lot of peoples homes in the south. Their's a lot of chances to help out now.
Tommorw morning for example I'm doing a 6 mile walk with some friends to raise money. Is anyone here going to contribute, or already has? I'm just wondering.
If this is in the wrong section, by all means, move it right away.

i dunno, what happened was terrible but you have to think about this, you live in a city 15 feet BELOW sea level, now good bet that any tropical storm is gonna flood everything. sure i feel bad for them but i'm not going to send money because 1. they chose to live their so they accept the risks associated with this 2. i gonna end up paying anyway because my insurance is gonna go up to cover this.
i live in Halifax and we get hit by a few big storms 2 yrs ago we got hit by juan, and i sent no money then because i ended p paying anway. taxes went up

yes, I think the same thing. But you have to relize, there's important things to faimly's there, and some of them can't afford to move.... but I see what your saying.

its over now but like the raising of taxes it'll happen again. so my suggestion they need to get those people out asap, and then build the city somewhere else cause it gonna happen again.

oh man its way better if it didn't happen at all... there would be no worries or no problems but... no one has a perfect life... we are not robots were humans you all know that.

yes, they should reconsider rebuilding the city...each time the storm gets worde and worse. in 10 years, the storm could be twice as bad
