I knew that, but how many people work for/at/on YouTube? Serious, I don't know. Anyway, I know he/she/it has a real life, but if this is their job, then responding to emails about stolen flash on the website you work for is part of their real life.

well.
there are many mods on YouTube. for example, a guy who is reporting every wrong vid or spam post he saw on youtube, the admins are studying him and when they think he is good enough to be a mod, they ask him if he want to become a mod.
And so it goes on many things.

What's bad reporting? This: calling the police for having drank only 1 sip of beer accidentally.
Good reporting: Reporting things that are to flame everyone.

Also when reporting please consider the sheer size of youtube... There must be a massive number of reports that all have to be handled manually... And each report would take time to investigate, then act on... So yeah it may take a few days for them to get into it.
And please try to understand, the mods there are just enforcing the rules so they don't get sued and/or shut down. It's really no different than any of the FZ mods or admins enforcing our rules.
