Okay, so I'm trying to sort something out for a project I'm working on. Ever since The Ocarina of Time, each Link seems to have a hero's title. So, I'm trying to come up with a title for all the Links. Here's what I have so far. Just want to see what you guys think.
Hero of The Triforce (Zelda I, Adventure of Link)- Since this Link's entire quest was about reconstructing the complete Triforce, I thought this fit. In the first game he's collecting the pieces to the Triforce of Wisdom, and gets the Triforce of Power from Ganon after his defeat. In his second game, he was searching for the Triforce of Courage. So all in all, his destiny seemed to be about reuniting the Triforce.
Hero of Light (Link to the Past, Awakening, Oracles)- I think this fits here because of the fact that this Link's quest was to bring light back to the dark world, returning it to the golden land. That said, Hero of Realms might be more appropriate, given that he traveled to many different places. Normal Hyrule, Dark Hyrule, both places in the oracles games, and the island in awakening. That's alot of places to save. Regardless, I like Hero of Light more.
Hero of Time and Hero of Winds are explained in Ocarina and Wind Waker respectively.
Hero of Twilight for the Twilight Princess Link is pretty obvious.
Hero of Spirits (Spirit Tracks)- Fairly obvious, given the whole Zelda spirit thing, and the general talk of spirits throughout the game itself.
Hero of Skies (Skyward Sword)- Not official yet of course, but it seems appropriate from what we've seen so far.
The only two I have a hard time placing are the Minish Cap and Four Swords Links. Since the Minish Link had to collect elemental essences to power up the Four Sword, Hero of Elements comes to mind. However, this was a pretty minor plot point, so it's hard to make that one fit. The only thing I could come up with for Four Swords Link is Hero of Four Souls, but that seems a little off.
Well, there you have the nine Links and their possible Hero Titles. Let me know what you guys think.
