Well no I didn't win anything political ,but I guess I can now say I'm a president for the gaming community at my college SCC I'm basically the head of the club and I wasn't expecting at all to win because I thought I was just the joke nominee considering I just joined the club today and already I feel pressured when I haven't even started that role at all yet. Even have my own staff which is weird to me ,but yes they are helpful and only one of them I know is a freind of mine who got the treasurer position well the guy who is in charge of the gamer's guild funds He was the one who nominated me for the president position of the club. So I went up and told them about myself, my gaming status and asked questions that were well unorthodox ,but I guess had meaning to them as this club is for gamers.

I was going up against a bud of mine who was a vet from the last club regime whatever they call it and like I said I figure he win because A he has been there longer and B he was the former Treasurer before my buddy Grim. So I'd figure I'd lose ,but by chance or fate got the best of me. Ironically I got the position and here I was speechless and shocked beyond belief.

So now I'm the new prez and will learn everything as I'm in charge of the club intill I either step down or get through the whole year which is intill Fall of next year. So like I said I do feel the pressure because I'll be making very tough decisions and well making sure everything goes well.

Sounds like you really don't know what you're getting into.

I'm president of my university's gaming society, I took over since my friend, the founder, graduated last year. And its been tough getting all the paperwork done, getting members motivated. But I knew what I was getting into. And if you don't I'd suggest stepping down or things will get pretty ugly.

That said, I don't run the whole thing. I just organize nerf wars and console gaming events, I've got other people who run LAN gaming, tabletop roleplaying games, MTG and other card games. So the responsibility is fairly divided up, though all of the administrative crap lands on my head.

What does your gaming group do? Ours is about organizing large group events, be it taking over the computer lab and having a night of Urban Terror or going head to head in smash bros or halo or something with a neighboring university. But since your interview questions consisted of lots of general knowledge questions, or about zelda preferences (which is a one player game,) I'm not exactly sure as to the purpose of your group.

Our group focuses more on games mostly multiplayer events, lan parties and table tops like MAGIC the gathering which include tournaments, booster drafts, and events that help with other school programs. We are a small group ,but we do run a comic con for the spokane region. I somewhat knew what I was getting to just didn't imagine I'd win because honestly tI thought my other freind would win it because hes done a position before I on the other hand have not, but the old prez says to give it a shot and push through.

I think they asked those questions to see my roots in gaming and where I stand. They wanted someone new and they got it because my whole staff is new except for those who were in other positions in other clubs have a little more expierence than I do obviously. I am not much into the new stuff not even Halo myself ,but they all respect that for the most part and our group is extremely down to earth like I am intill we get ourselves amped for battle against other universities. I just I hope I can do the best with everything because I've never made tough dicisions beofre and I have never lead anyone either, but the old prez will show me the ropes and show me all the skills next weak.

I didn't know you were the president of your gaming club ,but do you got any advice for a newbie like myself? Other than that the group who voted for me must have faith in me or something I give off must have made me stand out over the other guy. I am little scared because I am afraid to fail others because I make mistakes ,but thats part of being the prez I guess things happen and you gotta make the tough calls as well as take the brunt of everything if something screws up.
