Every time I beat Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask, I almost always think to myself, "Aahhh, such a good game. It's so good, I must enjoy it a second time!", and when the credits finish I delete the file I just finished (If there aren't any more free ones) and make a new one. I can't quite put my finger on why, exactly, this is.
So instead of agonizing over every little detail of the games and trying to find out for myself what makes these games so replayable for me, I ask you, fellow members of FlameZero Boards, what gives a game replay value for you?

Horrible Memory.
I beat a game, quickly grow bored of it, and stop playing for awhile. Then, all my memory of the game is lost(the dregree of this happening is random) and I get curious about the game again. Its this particular reason that allows me to indefinately play Ratchet: Deadlocked, Megaman X collection, Kirby Super Star (Ultra), and a few other personal gems.
Other reasons I may go back to a game is for completion. I never opt to completing a game on the first run--in fact, I usually avoid doing it. This works for the 360's achievement program(which I usually don't care about until I see that getting all the points for a game is easy and full of non-retarded achievements) or in RPG games where the level cap is higher than 99. Star Ocean 3&4 can reach up to about 216 I believe, and then I have this game called Metal Saga...I have no damn clue whatsoever where the level cap for that game is...
In short, Horrible Memory, Achievements, reaching level caps.
Or perhaps sheer boredom.

For me its nostalgic value and the fact I really enjoyed the game. I never get board of the games I play. Sure its nice to have new games to peek my interest ,but whenever I play a new game I have tendency to go back and play my older games because the game feels like I'm playing the same experience.

I always seem to find myself replaying the megaman BN series. I'll finish a game and think something like "that was fun, but I feel like using [soul/cross/style] now. So I slot in a different one and go at it.

For newer games I often end up replaying them for: - Trophies. Some trophies need a second playthrough to achieve. (Fallout 3, inFamous, Prototype, Bioshock.) - Because the game is really good and I want to play it again. (inFamous is a key contender here because the powers were different on the evil playthrough so I wanted to get and use them all. All I can say is: With Arc Lightning you all must fear the emperor.) - To play as a different character. (EX- Borderlands or Fallout 3.) For older games it's typically because I like the game or a segment of the game. (EX- in Sonic 3, I like to replay the ice cap zone.)
