Well I'm curious to know what you guys consider a game that just litteraly beats the snot of you then you beating the game.
Heres a list of games I know that by far the hardest things I've ever seen or played.
Castlevania series:
The original side scrollers from Nes era to about SNES was when the last real castlevania game that basically had a Belmont. Not counting the Belmont in whatever games had Soma in it or the 3D looking ones because those are fairly simple to play with the exception to the 3D castlevanias on the N64. Were talking Castlevania Simon to Castlevania Rando of Blood Richter in good old sprite glory.
The series is famous for a few things a side from defeating Dracula again and again and his minions of hell again and again.
One of the most frustrating things about all these games is fact you get knocked back to a flippin pit or water which I believe was the most severe handicap of all time. if you want a series that challegens you this is one of those.
The original Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the nes.
Now I have never played this series I've only seen other people play it and from watching I can tell the games are one hell of a challenge. Ryuu suffers the same problem as Simon when it comes to getting knocked back by projectiles and enemies on platforms ,but this time Ryuu gets it 10x the butt rape from everything. Well he's ninja and Simon is a Vampire slayer so who who gets it worse?
The Double Dragon series
Now I have only played the first one and I can still never beat it. I bet Silver can really vouche his knowledge of the series better than I can.
Megaman and Megaman 2
You are wondering why is it only these two are the hardest well isn't it obvious? These two games though were still in their early years and there was no such thing as Sliding, Rush or a Mega buster charge shot to bail you out all the time. It was pure skill and platforms and I can name a few hazards that still have me stomped even after I've beaten both games a few times. Though I'd have to say number 2 is easier than the first because the implements of Items 1,2, and 3 plus the 4 E tanks and finally the godly Metal Blade weapon really were the nice features. The first one I'd have to say perpare for many nut taps because that one takes the cake.
Resident Evil the original or remake
Resident Evil Resident Evil. sheesh the first one was by far the most challenging out of all them. Sure once you knew where everything was and how to conserve your ammo for the things that needed to be killed and the ones that didn't the game flew by ,but lets face it how many have you knew off the bat where everything was? Sure Jill has Berry and a lock pick , but what about Chris a lighter and less item squares you tell me. I'm master of this game now ,but even I get in some trouble here and tere becuse I sometime forget what actually needs to be done.
Well this is my list how about you guys?
