Well fans of the illeged Zero franchise your wishes have come true and it seems today is a new dawning for you. Capcom has announced the megaman zero collection which includes the original four games onto one cartridge or DS card. Well it seems true there is an official site for it as well ,but not much info right now just some flashy cinematic recapping some events from the games. Here is the link. www.capcom.co.jp/rockman/zero/index.htmlWell its basically a port of all the games in one package so far there is no other knowledge if this will be released here or if there is any worth while extras for the game in general. Well I honestly do not see the point of getting this myself if it ever does come here because I still have all the regular four GBA versions of the games. Unless they do something different then maybe ,but I'm not going to get my hopes up on a reprint of one of the best series of megaman games I have ever played. Anyways what are your thoughts? Any ideas what they could do for extras? Do you think the games cutscenes will be replaced by anime filled cinematics with japanese voiceovers? A lot of possibilities I guess ,but it may just be a port of the same games gathered in one package...

Im not going to get it unless it contains bonus features like MMBN5 double team DS did. The 4 games are still super easy to get and this just seems like a way for capcom to make a cheap buck.

My cartridge for Z3 is worn out, so I'll definitely be getting this if it comes out in North America, but if Capcom wants to guarantee it'll sell well, they should include a level editor.
And then there's that old thread I made about new ways Zero could've used his rod weapons. They could include bonus levels where Zero has to do that.
Or failing that, let us play as X in Z1, Harpuia in Z2, I guess Harpuia again in Z3, and Kraft in Z4.

Level editor would be fun, at least it was back in the days of Powered Up, so in would be amazing considering how fun the MMZ series was.
Though I would like either new playable characters, like Cyber-elf X when he digitalizes, or the Fearsome 4.
The number one thing I want though is co-op play like in Kirby superstar ultra. Two Zero's slashing up a stage, amazing.

You like ultra as well how nice. Anyways hmmmm if they do a level editor I will like to make a level called Nazi Spike Hell where almost everyway you go is a spike death trap and even the boss is a spike death trap which is mostly likely the boss from the train stage in MMZ1. I think it would also be cool to edit the skills of your enemies and bosses as well too. Do you think we could also pick music from any of the game stage as well too? Thats a nifty idea that level editor.
As for a change I think they could get rid of the weapon skill system in MMZ2 becuase I do not understand how Zero lost the abillity to triple slash and or charge any of his weapons from the last game. I can understand if he was wounded to the brink in the beginning ,but they never did explain that so I thought that would be a fix. The only weapon I find excluded from this would be the chain rod of that game.

Extra modes and such
* Mod Card Collection
Illustrations that are not just fun to look at, but can also be used in the games to cause special effects. * Character Card Collection
Well known heroes, rivals and even rare characters are collected extensively. With commentary available on each character, collecting them all will be like having a character dictionary. * Wallpaper Collection
You can record many illustrations and concept artworks as wallpapers. By collecting them all, you will deeply enjoy the world of Zero.

A double post that says yes! Well in a day maybe two of three in some parts of North America and Canada. Megaman Zero Collection makes its appearence and like Zero the series never dies intill Zero 4 la la la la. Well from what I've seen in the news to look foreward in this collection. We got the people who remixed tracks from the game again and there is some sick arranges for your hearing pleasure here is a link for a few samples from Mythos. www.themmnetwork.com/2010/06/04/remastered-tracks-rockman-zero-mythos-update-and-samples/Track List: Curitosy of The Megaman Network like always 01: Final Match 02: Departure – Mythos Ver. - 03: Esperanto – Mythos Ver. - 04: Sand Triangle – Mythos Ver. - 05: Resistance – Mythos Ver. - 06: Neo Arcadia – Mythos Ver. - 07: Enemy Hall – Mythos Ver. - 08: Hell’s Gate Open – Mythos Ver. - 09: Silver Wolf – Mythos Ver. - 10: Straight Ahead – Mythos Ver. - 11: I,0 Your Fellow – Interlude - 12: Everlasting 13: Area of Zero – Mythos Ver. - From what was noted in recent news the games soundtracks have been improved in quality due to the change in system ware. Here is link from the actual site for you guys of the flame. www.capcom.co.jp/rockman/zero/alouetie_sound.htmlAgain some samples of this improved quality though I'm not to sure on the differences myself ,but I think you will notice some things my ears didn't pick up yet ,but I'm really digging the Crash sample from MMZ. As a side note the titles may be misleading ,but the music is in right cronological order left to right. I'd like to dedicate this thread to talk memories of the games individually if you like and if you are interested in the collection then tell us. Its not like we all don't know the story or anything. And we know this and this happened etc. So have fun indulging on your memories and dreads of the game.

Got it a few hours ago, got through Zero and the intro of Zero 2 in the Easy Scenario, which is basically just giving you Ultimate Mode without needing to grind your weapons to get the triple slash and charge attacks.
It seems the only real changes are the use of stereo sound and the ability to use the Y and X buttons, for which I'm grateful. The main weapon button being located up and to the left of the jump button makes things easier.
Also, Harpuia's line in Zero 2's intro was changed from "To live or die?" to "To live or perish?". Not sure why.

Keep your eyes peeled. Numerous mentions of "death" have been changed.

My best guess as to why would be they wanted to keep it E-Rated, and I guess some time between the release of Zero 4 and the Collection, the ESRB decided to adopt the totally retarded policy of die counting as a minor swear, so it was either comply or be rated E-10 or T. Sort of like Greedo shooting first in the Special Edition, even though George Lucas himself has been seen wearing a Han Shot First T-Shirt.
And for the record, I'd have done the same. While it's absolutely, mouth-breathingly, paste-eatingly, chasing the girls around with a piece of dog-pooingly stupid to have standards that consider direct references to death inappropriate (But not actually showing someone dieing, provided no blood is visible. Seriously, how many deaths are there in the intro cutscene alone?), it makes sense to want to try to reach the younger audience. The sales clerk at the EB Games I got my copy from mentioned that the only people she knew to play Mega Man games anymore were people like me, "Teenagers and adults who got into it when we were young and just never gave it up".
This is a problem, considering Mega Man is probably Capcom's most kid-friendly franchise. So getting the younger audience to buy the four (In my opinion) best Mega Man games in order to get'em hooked is a good idea, and the younger (And therefore easier to hook) portion of that audience will be begging their parents for it instead of getting it themselves. Therefore, having a label right there on the cover that says "Everyone" is a goal for this title.
But that doesn't change the fact that having to remove/change the word die/death/dead is retarded.

Oh boy the ESRB has done it again yay! (Sarcasm) Well thats censorship for you cancelling out the good stuff or in this case to die as a minor swear...

It doesn't matter. It'll never be as good as the japanese version. However I enjoy the mod cards, especially the one that makes elpizo appear in the base.

I got my copy last week and I'm working on MMZ collection the evles jackson then doing it again on Hard mode. I wasn't too interested in the easy scenario so I play the games in order doing the stuff all over again ,but I'd have to say this and only this I forgot how daunting to feed elves in MMZ was. Seriously to level Jackson is a pain.
