My accident

Well these last few days have been tough on me. I was a bit hesistant at first to talk about this on here ,but since I posted a journal about it on my deviant art account I felt it was best you guys knew what is going on. As of last Friday at 5:25 at night not even 1 mile away from my house T-Boned another car while driving to the Highschool to pick up my sister. Thankfully no one got hurt outside of the veicle or inside. The accident resulted in shock of two vehicles basically colliding at 30 miles per hour. I now have constant headaches, I am light sensitive, and have a very stiff neck.

I was pretty scared because I could of lost my life that night, but I sware I did see my life flash before my eyes. Luckily dring the crash I didn't become unconsious ,but th shock was pretty harsh. I was able to get out of my vehicle which is a truck by the way ,but I was completely off balance and everything was spinning. I was able to check on the other guy and he was fine ,but in similiar case suffered the same set of symptoms as I did.

The situation however actually eased up for me because I wasn't ticketed and or fined for the crash because I wasn't at fault for this accident. The reason I got in the accident is because the guy failed to yeild on coming traffic. I was on the very right most side of traffic on a two lane road and he was on the other side of the street turning into my side of he road. I'm not sure why he was turning onto my side of the road. Thankfully again I am glad no one was hurt or killed. If that were the case I wouldn't be able to live knowing I hurt someone or even killed someone.

Well my vehicle's front is totalled and I'm some what depressed ,but not as bad as I was on Friday. Due to the headaches and stuff it has been very hard to study for my college exams so I am kind of winging it and hope I do my best today and thursday. As of now I refuse to drive because I am very scared too. Thanks for reading I hope I'm not being a bother or some sort of annoyance. The only person on here who knows about this is Albeiro because I do hear from him time to time on deviant art.

Whew, thankfully you weren't going any faster when he slid out there... That would have been far worse.

Though it was the other guy's fault so by rights you could get his insurance to pay for your damages. (Just be careful as insurance is tricky.)

Though you may want to see a doctor for those symptoms... You likely have suffered a concussion and those can be serious.

And as far as your exams and studies go... you may want to tell them you were in an accident recently so they know that your are having alot of issues to deal with aside from studies. Most profs should understand and let you pass in any papers a bit later. (If you get a doctor's note you may be able to write your exam later as well.)

Damn, glad to hear you're alright for the most part though. This is a shed of light on some bad news though. Oddly, another friend of mine suffered some heavy damage a few weeks ago from a car crash. I've yet to get any details; I was just told by his sister that he was in a horrible crash. I'd hate to hear two tragic car accidents in a row...

But anyways, I'm just here ya still fightin the good fight w/life, bro.

Yeah insurance is something I'm quite new at. Lotza paper work and phone calls hopefully with my dad helping me I will get it down which something I hope I never have to do again or at least not anytime soon... I am doing fine on the studies part thankfully the accident didn't crack my steal hard memory trap mind. Though I have to admit that for while I couldn't speck or spell properally for a while about a day or two tops.

To silver I hope your friend does well I am fortunate that I'm fine ,but if his case is far worse than mine then do your best to make things easier for him and if you can visit him because having support can help win the battle he's in.

Well things are looking well. After weeks of paperwork I was able to get PIP recovery even though I do not work I recieved a good 10000 dollars in medical insurance. My truck is gone forever it cannot be fixed which is a bummer for me because thats the only vehicle I could drive. I am now in the middle of physical therepy to recover from whiplash. Sypmtom wise still getting my butt kicked by the headaches espcially when trying to sleep. Mentally I am fine though it seems everytime in a vehicle I am not driving I have tendency to flinch or get a bit scared after breifly stopping in traffic. I guess it will take time to recover that part of the accident because this was my first ever accident.

Will I ever drive again? Probably not for a while more so I feel somewhat limited ,but not enough to despair about.

TIme heals all wounds is all I can say. That, and that I'm still sorry you had a jackass do what he did too. You'll get through this eventually, so good luck on the path to getting better.

I didn't hear any details, because it was a quick phone conversation,but he has alot of broken bones and he had to go through some brain surgery. Its been awhile since the crash so I assume he's on the road to recovery...

Eeeeee... Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that I knew he was in some sort of pain ,but not that far from my initial assumption because I thought he suffered from a similar ,but worser version of the whiplash. But, broken limbs and brain surgery. Glad he's in good hands. I hope he gets back on his feet to live life because broken limbs and brain surgery can really deteriorate a person's self esteem about enjoying life. So I hope for good recovery.
