Another masterpiece by Ryukishi07. The next part of the WHEN THEY CRY series.
I haven't watched the anime myself. I only read the novels, because like Fate/Stay Night and all others, grabbing over 50 hours of reading and putting them into 26 episodes just doesn't work.
However, LIKE F/SN, anyone who hasn't read the novel will like the anime, because it is still good.
Umineko follows the story of the wealthy Ushiromiya family which has several branches, and everyone meets together once per year on a family conference on the secluded island of Rokkenjima. This year, the island is sealed by a typhoon, and shortly afterwards people start getting killed.
Some call it mystery, some say that it's not a mystery story but fantasy. Call it what you will.
