Who else is watching this series? What do you think of it?
For those who haven't heard of it... Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric's mother died when they were just children. After recieving alchemy training, they attempt to revive their mother using the forbidden human alchemy. But things backfire... And destroys Alphonse's body and cripples Edward's. Edward and Alphonse then begin the search for a method to restore their bodies through alchemy. Including searching for the elusive Philosopher's stone as a method to heal themselves.
This is closer to the manga than the previous Fullmetal Alchemist which had an alternate ending. (And a movie based on that alternate ending.)

Concidering that Im reading the manga I know most of it. The recent episode of Wrath and Greed dukeing it out was overly outstanding. The smooth animation in this new series is also great. If you like FMA in anyway, this is great. And Kimblee kicks in this series xD

I wasn't too impressed with the Fullmetal Alchemist series simply because I only got to watch it in bits here and there . Plus someone already ruined the whole story for me. So my opinion of it is nill...

I've never watched any of the FMA animes, I've always stood with the manga, it is quite good, the fact that it is ending in 2 chapters makes me a bit anxious.

Oh, I had no idea when it was ending... But then again I've never read the manga of it. (I dunno why, I just never got into it I guess.)
Though Random, you could still watch the anime cause it features a different ending from the other anime so any spoilers from it likely don't apply to this series. (Unless whoever spoiled it for you told you what happened from the manga... But even then, they likely wouldn't know the ending of it...) But even if you did get spoilers it still might be nice to see the action and whatnot in colour with voices.
I will say that the animation is pretty good, so it is definitely worth watching.

I see no point really for me to watch it anyways... I am happy with what I have right now to watch.

I know I'm like a week late, but Mustang's fight against Lust was freaking amazing. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but if you for some reason don't want to watch the entire series, you should at least look up the Greed/Wrath and Mustang/Lust fights.

Quoting Brotherhood's director "We've received Hagane's original manga up to the final chapter in storyboard form, and using that as the source, we are making the scripts and storyboards. Arakawa-san has a powerful way of working. We're stupified by the amount of material in the final chapter. Whether crying or laughing, there's only two months left."
- Anime and Manga will both end in 2 months.

The anime is close to the end, then. It will end at most in July if it's at that point.

The series (manga) went on 9 years? I finally decided to start it (and subsequently read the whole damn thing) last week, then the final episode came out few days later. Lucky. =p
Now just need HxH to get off the hiatus.
Or find something else to check out.
Never watched either anime, checked a few episodes off youtube recently, but meh. Mostly just to see how they did Pride's shadow-stuff or to hear the voices they picked.

The only difference I've ever seen from HxH's anime and manga versions is that the anime isn't as simple looking as the manga makes it sometimes. So I think its worth watching.
EDIT: wrong subject; wrong thread. XD
