If you had a choice which classic game series would you like to see have a new entry? Or possibly be remade?
If it gets a sequel or remade what if any changes would you like to see made with it? What things would you not want them to change?

Xenogears. The game had severe budget issues and the 2nd disc became nothing more than a visual novel with some gameplay. Yet XG is still one of the greatest RPGs of all time. If only they remade that 2nd disc.

If anything deserves a remake I'd say Castlevania III. My reason well after playing the games following the SOTN Format. Why not remake 3 in that format. I know it will remove possibly all the killing elements of platformers which Castlevania was really known for intill SOTN in 1997 or 1998 I think...
I liked the idea of leveling and gathering items and looking for hidden items that kind of stuff. I'd figure it will have a similar play style to that of Portrait of Ruin for the DS due to the fact in 3 you had a choice to find Sypha, Grant and Alucard or you do it solo as just Trevor... Well those partners you get are based upon paths you took through the intial 9 stages. So scrapping that as well and give it the map and find the specail relics feel and it will play very similer to the latest ones.
The major change would be the sound quality and well the graphics though I do careless of how beautiful graphics look this would be the best idea to match the sprites of the playstation. Since Konami seems to be doing well with the DS why not.
It will lose the charm it had in the nes era ,but I think it be worth a shot. Since all of them sort of have inter connected stories.

Goldeneye. Every FPS game that gets on the market, they rave that it'll be the best FPS since Goldeneye, yet nothing ever lives up to the name. They need to remake the game in its entirety, every enemy, every hidden room, every weapon and add nothing. Update the graphics, but otherwise leave the game unchanged. They need to figure out why the heck the game is so amazing and make sure other games actually can follow suit. Fun fact, multiplayer in Goldeneye was added to the game last minute as an afterthought, "Oh, maybe we should put a multiplayer in this." Made entirely by one guy who sealed himself in a room with coding for about a week. And it kicks .

Port the Play Station Neversoft Spider-Man game to DS, with improved(They improved the graphics for the sequel, but pretty much everything else was a step back.) and actually good music, and be sure to keep What If? Mode in there.
That's probably not going to happen, since Neversoft won't even let Nintendo release the N64 port on Virtual Console (Greedy bastards. Make the Spidey game that would serve as the template for every 3D Spidey to follow, and then restrict access to it to eBay trolls and ROM players, grumble grumble...), but a guy can dream can't he?
Also, I'd love a 2.5D DS remake of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Most mainstream games nowadays have main characters who you wouldn't be surprised to find out were rejected leads in action films. Wacko Jacko is exactly the kind of protagonist who so-skillfully blends crazy, awesome and fun together that gaming needs more of.

Remake of Double Dragon II: Revenge. like tank suggested for his suggestion, update the graphics heavily and change NOTHING ELSE. I'd more than love to here an upgraded version of one of the most kick- themes ever. Also, I'd have another chance to beat the living tar outta some dude who looks like Arnold Schwarts...lol

I'd love to see the classic Sonic the Hedgehog series remade...
Sonic 1 through 3 and knuckles all combined into one game. Rendered in 2.5D with OCRemix providing all the music. (Especially for Sonic 3 and Knuckles... Because their Project Chaos was perfect for it. Especially the Doomsday theme.)
Stages could be lengthened and altered a bit, but if they did they would have to include a mode called "Classic stage mode" where the stages were the exact same as the genesis versions, but rendered in 2.5D. (And for kicks and giggles they could throw in an unlockable copy of Sonic 1-3 and knuckles.) Though end of Sonic 2 would have to be changed... Fighting Metal sonic then the giant robot without rings is incredibly difficult. So make it easier and add at least a few rings. (Though in the aforementioned classic mode they could go without any rings.)
They could also include skippable cutscenes introducing the boss robots, and maybe a speal by Robotnik. (Classic Robotnik, rendered in 3D... But not that danged eggman garbage they've pulled as of late. Robotnik has to be an evil S.O.B.) Sonic, Tails and Knuckles however would NOT talk.
Multiplayer co-op would be similar, but if one player ventured farther than the other the screen would split off and so each player could go at their own pace. And they'd each have their own supply of rings. (So this way if Sonic went super form, he didn't use Tails' rings.)
A versus mode could be added where Sonic, Tails and Knuckles all race through the stages to see who can get the best times, most rings and most points.
Super Sonic, Super Knuckles must be included! And playable in every stage after the acquisition of the emeralds. (Similar in style to Sonic 3, once you get the emeralds you can go back and play any level you want with Super Sonic/Knuckles.) Tails could have a super form added, or his could stay locked until he got the super emeralds... Either way is fine with me.
Trophies and achievements could be added... Such as: Get 200 rings, beat a stage in 5 minutes. Clear the game on normal. Acquire all 7 emeralds. Acquire all 7 super emeralds. And et cetera.
Even online play could be added with up to 3 people playing as Sonic, Knuckles and Tails running through the stages.

Contra was awesome back in the day, so I guess if they were to make a new one useing the old gameplay with newage graphics I would buy it. I use to play that game for hours.
