The Let's Play. A play through of a video game with player commentary.
Done by the right person, they can be an entertainment goldmine.
Done by the wrong person, they are epic failure.
They come in two flavors: Screenshot, which should be self-explanatory. You play through the game taking screen shots, then when you're done you post them all and give each one a caption. And Video, which is also self-explanatory. Record yourself playing through the game, and either ramble on while playing or add commentary while re-watching the video post recording.
Like I said, the quality of a Let's Play depends on the talent of the creator, so this thread is for recommending good ones.
I, personally, recommend the group LP of Megaman X3:
lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Mega Man X3/
Oyster's LPs of Megaman 2, 3 and the original Legend of Zelda (He takes conditions and it's fun to see him blow his top when he struggles with one)
lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Mega Man 2/
lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Mega Man 3/

This Zelda II screenshot LP

Another screenshot LP, this time of Flashback, which was played by Yahtzee

The work of ACE_Spark, of Sprites Inc fame
This screenshot adventure in parenting in Princess Maker 2

And anything by The Freelance Astronauts. I advise against their Ocarina of Time Master Quest LP though. They went for a marathon and, while they started off strong, more then twelve straight hours of a professional ROM Hack of an overrated N64 game can take it's toll on one's wit and willingness to live. I gave up around the time they hit the Ice Cavern.
