Haha, serves him right for doing that.
But yeah, be careful with the fireworks... They can maim/kill you pretty easily. (Especially if they are defective or the ends are clogged... in which case they are no different than small bombs.)
But you know, I do find it sort of sad that we have to continually remind people that fireworks are indeed dangerous... One look at them in action should bring about the thought: "This thing shoots from the ground at high speed and goes high into the air. Then it explodes... Perchance it might be dangerous to misuse?"
Or even reading the side of the firework might tell you:
"Caution improper handling or use may result in loss of life or limb."
I mean every year come the perfunctory warnings that they are deadly if misused, yet some buffoon decides to ignore his learned colleagues and take the chance only to end up either splattering himself or crippling himself because he couldn't be arsed to listen to those smarter than him.
So you know... maybe we should encourage people to use fireworks. Those that can read and follow the directions and thusly operate them safely get to live... those who can't, well they get a trip to the emergency room/morgue. And we get to chalk it up to natural selection. Maybe that is what the world needs...

What if one of these oh-so stupid people ends up somehow tethered to a friend of theirs with more common sense due to the moron's antics while handling the aforementioned dangerous explodey shiny objects?
You'd risk innocent lives just to cleanse this filthy planet of the disease that is stupid people?
I like your style!
But seriously, fireworks are like firearms, in the hands of stupid or reckless people, they're a danger not only to the handlers, but to other people as well. They shouldn't be easy to get a hold of. But then again, we live in a world where you need a license to own a pet monkey, but not to raise children, so what do you expect?

Relating to that GIF, while hanging out with a ol chap that night, the nearby moron's were playing with big shot fire booms. It turns out one of them tipped over and hit the bulls eye on a guy if you know what I mean.  Made my night.... Katsu! |

Well, 4th of July has come and gone and I see most of our members have made it back unscathed. I love this holiday. Ever since I was a kid I'd been fascinated with fireworks, even more so than most children, and when they finally loosened up restrictions on fireworks and I got to use some of the good ones its only increased. Something about the sky ablaze, I just go into awe watching. The holiday is also great because it brings together family and friends, its nice out so you don't have to be stuck indoors, and you get to eat loads of food off the grill.
And then, when the weekend is over you get to come home, get on the internet or grab a newspaper and read about all the stupid people who've lost fingers or better. Its natural selection at its finest! And when people catch it on tape its funny for the rest of us! I find that GIF to be hilarious, it serves the guy right for holding a firework down there and making lude jokes. Hopefully it was painful, and hopefully there's enough damage down there that his idiocy won't be able to breed. Damn I love this holiday.

I'll say.
We didn't set off Fireworks. There wasn't even mention of them. So I'm going to leave some firecrackers outside everyone's bedroom window and set them off around 4 am.
