Announced a while back with a teaser trailer that revealed bugger-all (Just a bit of pre-rendered cinematic of Travis lighting up a blue Tsubaki MK-III preparing to fight some pink haired chick with an odd jetpack), Desperate Struggle is the sequel to the original No More Heroes. I recently found a proper trailer for it, which can be viewed from the link below. I'm delaying the link to warn you of questionable content. Travis says one of the seven dirty words ("This isn't a battle, it's a Mother-Fornicating War..."), and just after Robert Atkin Downes says the title, Sylvia kisses the tip of Travis' katana and he ignites it enthusiastically, which can be viewed as sexual. Consider yourself warned.
Yeah, a mod's probably going to take that link out, but I at least gave a warning.
I'm making this thread despite the fact that I know all of three people at most will be interested on this board because I want to express enthusiasm of the fact that Travis is shown duel-wielding.
THAT'S FORNICATING AWESOME!!
Also, that school-girl who ask Travis if she can call him "Travis the great", she also says "If you get me preggers, please don't ditch me, 'kay?" before lighting up her own weapon. I gotta wonder... Is she going to be a boss, or a vehicle for CO-OP made of win?

I was hoping for more brother - brother co-op than anything else. That fight at the end was fun--
How did I know?!--Oh right. I beat it. a few days ago. No More heroes was pretty darn fun. I'll be expecting the sequel as well.

Henry hasn't been mentioned yet, so he may or may not have lost that fight at the end or moved back to Ireland to be with his Irish-speaking people in Ireland or something.
But on the plus side, it's been confirmed we'll be able to play as Shinobu, who can jump and plays differently from Travis.
And there will be fifty boss fights =D

I hope they're all creative. I don't wanna fight some guy who was similar to the last. The bosses being different was one of the reasons I liked the game. (Grandma firin lazors and whatnot...lol)

Well the reason we get to play as Shinobu is so that all fifty bosses feel fresh and new, so apparently Shinobu's going to be fighting bosses similar to ones Travis already faced, but their different play styles will make it feel different.
Fingers crossed no bosses with similar battle tactics will have the same personality.

Necro-double posting because the game is out now.
Picked it up and plowed through to rank three yesterday, then beat the last two this morning. On Sweet difficulty, of course.
The verdict? I'd say it's better then the first, but only by a small margin.
The promised fifty boss fights? Not delivered. There's fifteen bosses, two of which you fight as Shinobu, and one as Henry.

Can you still customize clothing? If so, is it more extensive than in the first game?

You can still buy clothes, yes, and they make more of a visual difference then just Travis' model with a different coat of paint, yeah. Like there's a set of clothing, Cyber Cell, and the sunglasses for it are a green visor. You can also unlock the ability to not wear jacket, meaning you can actually see what's on your T-Shirt.

I'm gettin this like tomorrow. I've been anticipating it ever since I heard about it. The first one was awesome, but I made the annoying mistake of spending all my money on clothes midway through the game, so I had to do a crap-ton of extra missions to regain the neccesary cash.

If it doesn't snow a foot or two like everyone's predicting, I might get this tomarrow too. If not, its on my to-do list.
I can't deny dual-blading.

The entry fees are gone. 'Course, you're still going to end up doing a fornication-tonne of side missions anyway. You'll need money to pay for clothes (I recommend everything in the Old School line except for the sunglasses.), and if you don't buy swords from Naomi, you won't get to see her New & Improved Jiggly Breasts (Trade-Mark). Oh yeah, and also you'll need a better sword then the Blood Berry to make it to the point in the plot where you get the Rose Nasty (Dual-wielded pink swords.) for free.
