I've seen this last year on NicoNico.
It is real, it's a real game. There are like 5 more of these music-mario games.
You can get the ROMs but you can't possibly play it like they did.
There are tons of ROM-Editors that are very easy to use.
Also I feel a bit nerdy for recognizing over half of those songs.

I felt disgraced for not recognizing more than 2....Jeez, when people have the odacity to call me a nerd, I realize I'm not even a good nerd.

Partly. I only recognized the Wily theme, and then I think there was a track in there from Super Mario RPG.....the forest theme......*watches it again*

Those were the only themes I recognized... The Wily theme and the Super Mario RPG: Forest theme.
(Though one theme that started at 2:24 sounded a bit like a theme from Megaman X. Possibly X1's intro theme, maybe with a bit of Zero's theme thrown in there for good measure. Or atleast it sounded like it would make a good build up for a Megaman X theme.)

yeah it was confusing on most of the songs after watching this vid 5x and I was able to figure out about 5 of however many there were.
