The X series was over 9000 times better than the original.Capcom made X8 a good game, but it could've been better. If they made X9, what would make it the best in the series

Honestly, if like RM9 they reverted back to some old school sprites. I would kill to have a RMX9 in 32-bit. However to make it good it would have to have challanging stages with bosses, some awesome new armor for X (Glide and teh X8 ones just didn't work for me) and at least a good Ride chaser stage. Last few have sucked.

Make the gameplay 3D. C'mon, Capcom, if you've got the balls to shamelessly milk almost every franchise you've ever made for sequel after sequel after sequel, then you must have the balls to make a commitment to the quality of your games.
I would've loved X8 if it took the 3D Megaman X action from X7 and improved it, but because it copped out and was exclusively a side-scroller, I immediately had a reason to hate it before even playing it.

Agreed, and for the systems out right now there should be no worries to how far and expansive this game could possibily go.

i woulden't really like it in 3-d, but if you mean by 3-d sidescrolling, the game would be so much better. And please, i really hate axl! I would like them to bring the blade armor from x6 back, and for him to use the saber. And for the best armor, It should be the golden armor from x3

And while you guys discuss the details, the simple existace of a megaman X9 would make it the best ever for me. Capcom has created Megaman X7 and Maverick Hunter X. With that said, can they really take a turn for the worse? Those people behind capcom are humans and humans can learn. Unless Capcom just simply gets lazy,.....they will pull something awesome out of their sleeves. I mean c'mon. They're not Sega....>_>

Ouch... Yeah ,but after watching too many fan made stuff or predictions you tend to get to worn down for something true blue to happen especailly since now the focus of Megaman fans now is X9 or a Legends 3. Fans got their Megaman 9. Legends 3 hopes have been going since the end of Legends 2. Yeah I am hoping more for a Legends 3 ,but at the same time I hope for something that finally ends the X series with something that finally adds up for a change instead of switch everything to an entirely new plot and story. The X series is a personal favorite of mine too. Though I'd like to see it continue a bit more sometimes an end is always a good way to say you have lived through our ups and downs its over play it over if you like ,but now you can finally tie something together. Get what I am saying in a sense anyone?

Huh? X5 and 6 had nice endings that had closure, especially 6. One would think that Sigma actually died for good in X6. He was stripped of his prime to the point that it was actually kinda sad to see him the way he was. Even X pitied him. lol
lolwut? my bad. How?

Yeah they did have some great endings depending on the conditions. Though the one ending I found hilarious was the one in X6 without Zero just X. Zero pulls off a protoman then leave no whistle just him speaking some dialogue and pretty much leaves X to himself holding Gate with Alia all worried about Gate.

I wouldn't really say X6's ending had closure, considering the standard of Megaman.
Yeah, Sigma was stripped of everything, but wasn't that also the case in X1? But there he was, right after the end credits, and he might as well have said 'I'll get you next time, X! Next time! *Off-screen cat goes 'Mreeooooww'' (Hooray for Inspector Gadget references!). Same with X2, X3, X4 (Especially X4, since he wasn't just blowing up in a fortress on Earth, he was exploding in space. It would've taken a long time for his viral form to drift back to Earth, unless he stowed away on X/Zero's escape pod's computer.) and X5.
X5's ending seemed the most final to me, since every ending had Zero dieing a heroic death and X living on, some endings going so far as to say X founded a utopia.
And even then, X6 happened (Just give up, Capcom. Admit that you can't do a plot to save your lives and go back to the way it was with the original NES Megaman.), and they tried to hastily re-tie up the loose ends (Zero's ending in particular), but they just had to make an X7 (That ignored Zero's ending) and an X8 (which didn't bother with any closure and, arguably, ended on a cliff-hanger).
For me, the only way a Megaman game besides Zero 4 (The Zero series having the best plot of any Megaman series for me, which is like being the least-ugliest Nuclear Holocaust survivor) can truly have absolute closure is if the ending has the Earth exploding. And even then, with Capcom in charge, I still wouldn't be totally surprised if a sequel happened.

Y'know, Megaman can pretty much end at any of the games. MM has plenty of endings to it where people could say. "WILY DIED IN MM3."
So, I doubt that any of these games exist.
Yup.

You know, that's be pretty darn funny but considering the existance of Duo and whatnot.....ya kinda have a real point there. ;
