I would just like to say that MMBN sucks it has nothing to do with the partial-continuity of the megaman games and just over all isnt good, from what ive played the whole series is very repetative and I enjoy actually going and fighting things much more than punching in chips.
Bring back continuity! down with BN!
(No offense to any fans of the series) (ok maybe a little) (parenthesis are fun ;D)

I agree with alot--no, all of what you say dude.
I'd much rather fight without use of chips, I don't like sidetracking, and I think it's repetitive too. But then, all megaman games are, there's no denying that. When I first started the series, I started off incredibly biased against it. It eventually grew enough into me being neutral with it. They Zero-fied protoman, which makes him lose his overall coolness, they made zero ugly as crap, and they made bass some emo punk cockroach who keeps coming back more and more only to take another beating.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that BN isn't all that great. Especially since kids these days think that's what megaman is all about...-_-;

Was this thread even nessary?
Anywho, hte MMBN series I think was great. It took a totaly diffrent role and gameplay than its ancesters, and brought forth a new look for Rockman. Not to mention that they were all based on robot masters, and its nice to see some of them in there new looks.

I had always thought that as long as there's no bashing of other peeps and flamewars, this was nothing more than a thread.
Anyways, on that other hand, the recreation of the robot masters(for the most part) were one of the things that had helped me become unbiased against it. most of the redesigns did look awesome.
just a side question, but is that starforce megaman supposed to be the "Megaman X" of the timeline....?

I consider Battle Network and it's sequel series Star Force to be stains on the Megaman name. Seriously Capcom, why in the name of Bender did you put .EXE on the icon for Megaman's fifteenth Anniversary and his emo successor on the icon for his twentieth? What happened to good ol' Rock? You know, Megaman himself? The guy who's anniversary we were celebrating? What, is he suddenly not good enough to be recognized at his own celebrations? Is that it? You make me sick...
If I pretend the characters named after Megaman characters all have different names, I can tolerate Battle Network, even if the battle system relied a bit too much on luck of the draw, but based on the fact that Star Force only lets you move in the back row during fights, I decided not to touch it with a ten-foot pole. Unless the pole was on fire. And really pointy on the end I was poking it with. And I was stabbing it instead of poking it. And I was stabbing it through the heart. And it died as a result of my stabbing.

Even though you can only move in the back row of MMSF, the game is really easy. Zenny is easy to get, the chips over power the virus's and there HP, and the rush mode... What ever happened to useing AreaGrab?
THough true there is some luck of the draw in the game, if the folder is built correctly, luck shouldn't determen the fight. Theres much stragie in the prosses of building a folder. The only luck part with that is getting your P.A.'s
Besides, who dosn't like the Heart of the chips (lolYugioh)

Network was great ,but Starforce not as much... Anyways the point is it is was a very new idea at the time it was quite good I loved the creativity put into it plus it is an alternate time line. Basically a complete off shoot so yeah expect it to be different from the actual continuity so in reality it starts back basically around the time the original series started with just robots. Only with Navis and the net instead. Yeah I do see your point because its kind a bad that Capcom has focused on the newer starforce stuff more that the original, X, Legends, Zero and ZX. Sure they brought back Megaman 9 ,but that was luck and fans. Plus an experiment I believe... Remember the focus with Battle Network and its predecessor Starforce are mainly on Children were as The original to ZX catered to us old fans of the series. That Icon thing well I guess they go which ever is usually more popular from 1st-14th anniversary it was Megaman. 15th-19th it was Megaman exe. Then finally 20th and beyond for now is starforce Megaman. So the hint is obvious there.
