Big idea I had

Hey I thought at some time in the future all active users on the site could decide on a place to meet. I've heard some of the problems already like most of us being in Canada or overseas. I'm in the United States personally so we would face problems figureing out all this stuff but thats why this is here. Tell me what you think and be brutally honest.

Central meeting spot would be a tough issue...As everyone would want to meet nearest to them.

But another issue... Money. I don't know about all of you, but I'm not exactly rolling in cash. Certainly not enough for me to afford a plane ticket plus hotel expenses any time soon. (And it's not like plane tickets and hotel costs are cheap either...)

I kinda just thought of that myself. I don't really have a job at the moment but it dosent have to be anytime soon I just wanted to throw the idea out there. It was jumping around in my head and driving me crazy. I talked to Silver about this and I guess he forgot about the money thing too but all points I made in my first post were ones that he pointed out and I agreed with

I never talked about the money part because that's not an issue for me. If this happened, I have more than enough money in reserve to do stuff, and that's only if this happened overseas. Otherwise I'd very well get there on the road, wether by driving or bus or whatever.

All if I even went of course.

If we were to ever meet I would say to meet at some con. I mean, we all have a love for anime or Megaman.

But like Virus said, not all of us have the cash for that. Espically if we're in collage, or soon going to be.

I like the intent, but it's honestly a terrible idea. There's that whole money thing. Where are you gonna meet? For that matter, when are all of your schedules gonna coincide? Those are just a couple key issues off the top of my head.

I don't mean to just show up out of the blue and shoot the idea down, but unless many people are interested and are very cooperative, this is undoable.

That would be cool then again how would we all identify each other? Do we like wear name tags with our screen names. We can't just go around and say I am randomrifter865 and you must be this and such... Just a brain fart ,but yes money is killa when it comes to this kind of stuff, A gathering of board goers is interesting though I love the idea and all ,but yeah stuff ain't cheap no what I am saying? Plus I too would be heading to some college as well. Planning should have been done first I'd say if we ever want to do something like that... Like my trip to PAX 09 with my uncle we planned that like since last year and now were saving some funds plus I rarly get out of Spokane.

why doesn't everyone just get a 360 and a vision camera, bam everyone see's each other online, Christ i know that Albireo lives in Australia, Raikon lives in Portugal and all of these other problems raise with this, so i doubt this idea will every work

Here's an idea, a FlameZero Board convention! There could be some annual gathering of members at a pre-determined permanent convention hall and chat like we normally do, only face to face.

'Course, there wouldn't really be much point to it thanks to stuff like MSN, webcams, Skype, etc. that already allow us to converse while seeing and hearing each other, so the only real reason I can think of for arranging a meeting of members is super sumo wrestling to the death with lazor fatsoots pewpewpew!!
