I Hate.....I Hate how I get stuck on a team with players who have no intention of participating....I hate how The team depends on you to win it for them so they call the win for themselves.... I was stuck on a team today, the most newbie....uncaring team I could....I tried my very best, scraped my knees, ran when I couldn't run and more.....but still...my team can turn around and give me crap?
For those of you who care...it went like this. I play goalie for his sport. there fore, I was in net, diving, jumping, sliding....saving h ball none the less but my defense was literally standing still....not helping me what so ever. I told one of my defenders to play net while I tried to score a point for the team right? As you might have guessed, his person also, literally stood still and lt the slowest ball roll by them into the net... I turned around and said. What are you doing!? Move! and another female on my team turned to me and said. "don't yell at him!" so I turned and told her to be quite, she wasn't doing anything either. So...The game ended, 6 to 1, I was the only one pushing myself Just for the team...but I got no credit, It was as if I wasn't on the team.... I got no recognition, although my team mates did.... This bugs me alot...and I find it completely unfair
Do you guys think this is fair?

Hmmmmm.... Well that depends maybe your team just doesn't like you or something.... Well you were the goalie right in technical terms it is your job as the last ditch effort to protect the goal right? And it seems most of it is tsome of it is your fault ,but its mainly your team's fault for not really doing there job anyways and hell you actually got the hardest job on the team so yeah that is a bit unfair considering you actually put the most effort I guess... Can't really fully remedy that one for you sorry....

They shouldn't have been giving you crap... But it's pretty much true for every sport there is atleast one position that always carries most of the blame or praise depending on the outcome. (And for sports will a goalkeeper, it's usually that spot...)
EX- Hockey: The goalie, if they make that save then they are praised, but if they don't they're blamed. (Moreso if that was the game winning shot in the shootout...)
American Football - The quarterback and the player ment to recieve the throw. If the reciever fumbles in the 4th down (for the CFL) or 3rd down for the NFL, they are blamed. But if thye make the catch then they are praised, moreso if its a game winning catch.
But my point is, don't let it get to you. Whether it was fair or not it's only one game, there will be other teams and other times, some of those you'll win, some you'll lose, try not to worry bout it so much. Also, try not to seek to be the one superstar, the one who ends up tooting his own horn so to speak, all the time. You might be better then them, but if you act like it, then your less likely to get people to try or to co-operate with you.
Also, be very careful of your voice's tone and the words you use when talking to your teammates. Anger or frustration (even percieved anger) creates resentment, resentment leads to more anger and a stubbornness against co-operating with you.

Happens a lot, though I remember the days I was treated like Tsuna from Katekyo Hitman Reborn. No one blamed me though, since I did nothing, but something when the chance hit me.
If you're stuck with a newbie team, don't let it get to you, and don't play goalie either, I hate being goalie, pressure gets to me. I play defender as a fun note.
And tone does have something to do with it too. But remember this, "You're not playing for the effing World Cup".

People suck Flash. Sooner you get that through your head the less you'll be awed and amazed at human stupidity, laziness, whatever.

Love the reference "another female". Sounds as if you were speaking of an inferior race or something. xD
I assume this was in a gymnastics class of some form? You sort of placed yourself above the rest of your team, as in being the only one doing something... So naturally they pay you back by alienating you from their circles. You're the one not comforming with them, right? So I can't see how it comes off as a suprise that they show you no recognition, seeing how you apparently don't want to be one of their peers.
It's really just simple science! :X

Hah. This is one of those times were you must be a man among men.
.......I'd give more info, but I honestly don't even play soccer for the most part, so I can't hope to grasp the consept of how hard it is to keep that ball from going into your net when your team sucks. Everything happends for a reason. Perhaps to make you realize the stupidity like Tank said or maybe just to realize that you must become better to even out the team. Who knows. Accept your losses and learn from it so that the unfairness can be for the enemy/other people next time around.

Hmm, I would think that we've all in in your position at some point or another...
And that's why I think we realise it may be unfair, but it's a part of life.

True. So if ya trasform that question into: "How did you guys feel when that happened to you?", my answer is:
I felt like the man at first, because I held the team up. It was dodgeball, can't remember the year, but it was in middleschool. After awhile, however, it all fell it apart the moment I was out. I was the last player to be hit out, (of the second round. I won the first) albiet the fact that there were still four more members still on my team...standing in the back doing nothing, no less. There were out quickly after I was. I was pissed off after that.

Lol dodgeball
I was playing once, and I was the last on my team, stayed un-touched for long enough to let another of my team back in.
=D
But we still lost >_>
Anyways, it's simple, if you're stuck with the same people again, or the same sort, just sit by and let them lose, if you know you're gonna lose, might as well let it happen, otherwise if it becomes balanced, then play all you like.

I would just punch them in the face, and punch them in the face, and punch them in the face, then kick them a few time....
Scrach that.
But as Tank said. People aer assholes. Drivein they only think ofr themselfs and they dont care if youve been sitting in the same spot for a good while waiting to turn, they go ahead.
But as for sports, well look at it this way. We live in the most appathetic generation there ever was. And with the amount of people out there who only give a damn about whos dateing who, your not vary likly to find one who will exsert themselfs for no real reason. They would all just rather stand/sit around and text on their phone all day. Thats our world, deal with it, at least if you put effort in things then you'll get somewhere. (If you grow a brain that is xD)

Most times the ones who act like they don't care only act like that when things aren't an issue for them, but if it suddenly doesn't work out for them, these same apathetic ones will suddenly make a whole lot of noise.
Taking sports again, they might not care for the sport, so they only put minimal effort into it. But now if you played a sport they really liked, and were losing then things might be different.
As far as driving goes... I'm more worried about people that don't understand that when the sign says 100, that means maximum speed you can go is 100... not the minimum you should go. And I hate when people start going 125 behind me and get impatient and try to pass anyway they can. (Especially the last 10 feet of the merging lane... Which is not only dangerous for them but me and the people on the other side of the highway too if anything should happen.)
But there are times to try and make an effort and there are times not to... An important skill is recognizing lost causes. For example knowing that when defeat is imminent, to give up. Especially in situations where your the only one trying, you only end up exhausting yourself, gaining unecessary injuries and possibly making others annoyed with you. Though situations like schooling are never lost causes, and so you should always try as hard as you can to succeed.
