Yeah when I don't respond or hear of something great I tend to forget about it and assumes its forever ago.

Well, least it's hopefully not going to be like his other production... A Ghostbusters movie that was supposed to be released in Spring 2007. Well, as of Dec 2009 it's still not been released. (It's release date is supposedly to be just before Megaman's. Though whether it is actually released or not remains to be seen.)

I thought the game was considered the 3rd movie? I didn't know there be a Ghost Busters 3?

Ah no... Eddie LeBron was doing a Ghostbusters movie entitled: "Ghostbusters Generations". And it was supposed to be released Spring of 2007. But it never got released and now he's said that it was going to be released before Megaman.
The game was stated by Ackroyd to be like the third movie for him. Though I had heard they were interested in doing a third installment... The last I had heard was the the cast was on board, the script was pending final approval and it seemed like the movie might actually get a green light from Sony... We'll see if it actually gets a release though.

Proton packs for the win! Then again I personally think the game was to make up for the fact the ghost busters franchise had the worst videogames up intill the sega gensis. The best part is the game has some old tidbits of their worst games in the form of easter eggs if you could find them. Anyways to be back on subject.
How do you think this movie would do? A lot of times the movies I've seen for videogames or any sort of fanchises always tends to fail at some parts or the movie is a bit too mediocre ,but good enough to watch. I think these people working in the megaman movie or doing great things.

Taken from Protodudes blog: "The MAGFest preview screening of the Mega Man fan-film was met with great acclaim according to director Eddie Lebron.
On the film's official blog, Mr. Lebron was pleased to announce that due to the test screening's success, the final, 107 minute cut of the film will premiere sometime within the next 3-5 months followed by an online version two weeks later. A more concrete release date is said to be attached to an upcoming trailer scheduled to surface within the coming weeks. In the meantime, you'll have to make due with some old clips and a trailer or two at the film's official blog."

Well you got to look at budget. I bet all the stuff he pulled off thus far was not cheap and I bet it had to do with all that budgeting through the actors, the props, scenes, writing and all those amazing effects example Flame Man's flamming locks I bet that costed say 1000 dollars in animation effects to pull that off. I'm sure that was one of the few challenges. So I'm assuming that is why he took very long time to get it this far. Also I'm sure he wanted to make this movie one of the best to show case his skills as a director and such.

May 7th... Mark it on your calendars because that is the day Megaman goes online for worldwide viewing. (Though some of you may already have it marked if you're at all interested in Iron Man 2...)

I just finished watching it myself...
I don't want to give any spoilers or anything so I'll simply say that it's pretty good. Eddie LeBron did a good job. And Dave Maulbeck as Dr. Wily was an awesome choice. The guy really nailed the role.
I'd love for Capcom to approach them with a deal to produce a Megaman 2 movie. (Or better yet, a Megaman X movie.)

I dunno if X would work due to how high-tech it is and how much Capcom would put in to a budget for them. I honestly think Legends is a more realistic approach for them, or if they want a really big special effects movie Starforce/Battle Network

Reposting what I said on Endless Fight:
Oh boy, I know there is only so much that can be done for a fan made film with no real budget but I don't know. The fights didn't do it for me, at all. The Iceman fight was pathetic, and most of the others were fairly bad as well. And when all 6 Masters were there to fight, I'm really sad that Mega beat them all so easily, it was his first time playing hero and he wins a 6 on 1 fight? His buster was way too powerful, beat the frigging Wily machine in one shot too. And same with Blues and the Yellow Devil. And what is with Blues, unarmored at that, just taking Elecman's shock without flinching? Elecman fired it over his shoulder, I half expected Blues to have his shield out when Elecman turned around, ready to ram him. But no, calmly walking up and falcon punching his head off. And speaking of Blues' armor, when he's in Light Labs checking on Rock's condition it looks pretty shabby. Its hanging on one shoulder higher than the other and it really looks bad. Nit-picky I know but on that note, another thing that bothered me was the consistancy of Wily's mustache. Half of it was much thicker than the other half, and it seemed to change from scene to scene. Lets get the mustache makeup consistant, I can't imagine its that hard.
Timing was off pretty badly too. It took Wily the time that Light was building Rock to walk home to his appartment, and then Wily comes back the next day to steal the robots.
I found myself rooting for Wily because he was a more believable character than Light in this one. The acting was pretty bad in all cases, and I realize that these aren't professional actors but I'm surprised how many people couldn't act. Light in particular was pretty bad, kept hesitating as if he'd forgotten his line or if he expected Rock to say something, realized he wasn't going to say anything and went on. This guy did not strike me as the man who revolutionized robotics. Dr. Wily's actor was definately the best one.

I watched the movie the day it came out. I thought it was pretty good in general. The story and direction definitely worked for me.
The problems I had were largely with the budget. During each of the fights I kept thinking that if only the movie had a hollywood budget, this would work. I also thought that the sound editing needed some major work. The music rarely seemed to fit, and there were some sounds missing in places.
On a smaller scale, I just think some of the editing needed to be cleaned up, so you have less scenes with a few seconds of nothing going on.
I actually thought that Dr Light's actor did a great job, but I'm seeing alot of the same complaints about him in various places. Maybe I need to watch it again. And I agree that Dr Wily was perfect. He did a really good job playing up the mad scientist shtick. I didn't even notice the mustache problems. Although, I thought that the dungeon scene with Roll was a little out of place.
All and all though, great job Eddie Lebron. You made something all Mega Man fans can enjoy, and if nothing else at least proved to us that a good video game movie is possible, even if this one falls short due to it's small scale. Hats off to you.
