Considering that this hobby has pulled me away from many things serious or not so serious, I was wondering if anybody else on this board write music in their spare time. If so, answer the following questions:
1. What style? (i.e. classical style, jazz, etc) 2. What type? (i.e. instrumental, voice, choir) 3. Nature: (i.e. sacred, secular)
My answers:
1. I try to write classical and traditional style music 2. Choral music (normally SATB or SAB) 3. Sacred

I'm not musically skilled enough to write music or play any instrument... Closest musical thing I can play is the mp3...

Not exactly "writing music," but I do often make words to music I hear (namely VG music)or simply make up words along with music in my head. not enough to consider any names or anything though.

I mak eup my own lyics to songs when I get board. Though most the time it;s just about how grand life is and how so many people waste it by simply hateing it.

Some scribblings every couple of pages in my notebooks forged during the most tedious of psychology classes. Mostly revolving around more popular songs. Rhymes are essential!

Oh yea, that's a good point. I make music far more often than I make lyrics(random, yet okay ones at that) by use of long nails to make quick beats on a table, or perhaps a pencil. Then vocal tones for guitar solos and whatnot. lol
I'm often making fast-paced techno beats more than anything.

I apologize for the terrible mini combo of DOuble Postage and necromancy, but Here's a piece of lyrics I have. It is lyrics for the song Bramble Blast from Brawl. These words are always at the top of my head when I listen to the song, so I just decided to write them down. This is only a piece that starts from the main chorus of the song. I'll be right here *Waiting for You *Always *Waiting For you *Right here, waiting for you You know it's true *I'll be right here *Waiting *Waiting for you *Always, waiting for you *Look-in-my-eyes-and-you-will-find *The truth in my soul *You-know-it's-there *I just have nothing to hide *You'll-see-your-self-that-I'm-the-guy *That you always wanted *That-e-ven-means-now *I'll be right here for *you **= I assume the instrument used to make this song is a violin? Well anyways, this means that this is for that secondary violin part. *= This is for that part that sounds like syllables. *= And this is for that long and drawn out singing part Yeap. As I said, I only begun writing it. Since I did, I might as well put lyrics for the whole thing. At first, I decided for this to be a duet with a guy and a girl, but apparently I put things a guy would say at the girl parts(I was intending for the high nots to be for the girl) What do you guys think? lol

Double post I know, but I wanted to share this wiht all you players of MM9 out there. Its a song to Hornetman's music. Hornet danceFrom the hive of robots, I came into exsistence You call me useless, I will prove that yoru worthless. {ENd of slow intro, on to the real song} I am hornetman, I will do all that I can To keep the gardens clean, and to show you that my hornets will fly free You try to stop me now, but that will change within an hour Becasue Mega man is comeing for me. And I_ Will_ Not_ Ever_ Fall_ Now. Show all your power, and prove me wrong SO that I should do as you say, But in the end The victor will be me! And then, I can soon fly free [chorus] I lived on through out these days, slaveing my time away Only to have my body earased_ But not_ this time, I will never ever die Not until my Hornets will fly free! Why do you challange me? I done nothing to be wronged Its just that ego that you have had, all_ Throughout your_ life_ I try to use reason, to show that Im right But your just hellbent on destruction and taking_ my_ insects_ down_ Blast! Show me what you are worth! and then, I might just land on earth Becasue, you don't know what it is like TO be forced on that forsaken ground! [chorus] [slow part] My bee's will not fall, nor will I We will fight on, till our time has come Can you do it megaman? Can you destroy what is your own? [chorus]

I've tried to write a couple songs for my band, but I've never gotten further than a verse or two. We play metal, but I have a good voice, so I don't scream. It sounds pretty cool in my opinion.
