COUTER THREAD DUN DUN DUUUUUN *gets shot* Anyway, I didn't see this on the forum and we got a "worst" anime thread going on so, hey Why not make one to show what we think is the best.
In my personal opinion, the best I have ever seen has to be Soul Eater.
Why? Because its well done in my opinion. So far the action is good, comedy is funny, and its exciting to watch. I've already read the manga, and usually when I read the manga it makes the episodes less interesting, but with Soul Eater I get SO into the episode, I react like Im finding it out for the first time.
And don't you DARE say the Shinigami vs Asura fight was too short.

IT WAS TO SHOARRR-*Lazerz is counteracted*
Ninku. I was the one that got me into anime. And although it's often great, the main character isn't some impossibly attractive young teen like always. Fusuke and ugly child, but like Mario, there's just things about him that makes you like him alot. ALOT. This is where I say SCREW NARUTO. see Fusuke in action your instant guess is that this is where naruto came from Fusuke, is a highly skilled child shinobi who's main element is WIND.(Ain't that odd..?) and often uses a replacement jutsu witha wooden log(Aint that even more odd?) And one of the more awesome things is how the kid is pretty cocky and headstrong in fights(Oh, lordy lordy lord...D: )
The series is very catchy and fun, the beginning music is nice to listen to, and it just kicks ultimate arse.

For me, it's a cross between Kekkaishi and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.
Kekkaishi has a certain charm that I can't really put into words but it's alot of fun for me, and SHnY is just flat out made of win.

Everyone knows it's Kara no Kyoukai. It's a 900-page novel turned into an anime.
The writer (Kinoko Nasu, creator of Type-MOON) once said in an interview that games have an advantage over novels because it can use pictures and music on top of text. For a novel to be just as interesting, it needs to be three times as interesting. This is the novel that is three times as interesting as average games.
So imagine the depth of the story and then go watch it.
The story is pretty much around the main character, Shiki Ryougi that has split-personalities. In the past she got into an accident and when she woke up from the coma, the other Shiki was gone. In exchange she attained the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which lets her see the death of things in forms of lines and points. Tracing a line bifurcates the 'thing' (Objects, people, anything that exists), stabbing a point erases the thing from existence.
The anime is composed of 7 full-length movies. Each happening in a different time, everything composes together later on.
Mononoke and the 4th Chapter of Ayakashi without a doubt, takes in 2nd spot because the Medicine Seller is more of a badass than anything else in anime. (Except Master Asia on G-Gundam)
Like Kara no Kyoukai, Mononoke is split into story arcs, each lasting 1-3 episodes. There are monsters called Mononoke that roam around. The Medicine Seller can exorcise them with his Sword of Exorcism, but the sword can only be unsheathed when the Shape, Truth and Reasoning of the Mononoke is known, so it's pretty much a sort of "mystery" genre, but ALOT better.
P.S. Gundam Seed is a failure ripoff from the first series. Go watch the original Gundam.

P.S. Gundam Seed is a failure ripoff from the first series. Go watch the original Gundam. I have and I would have to disagree. the sequal to Seed, Seed estiny was just a Gundam Zeta rip-off and there for I don't care for it all that much. Seed was a bit like the rest but in a way they all are. I just liked the charaters and there backstorys, not the gundams themselfs. Except the Duel, it was awesome IMO.

None of the characters in SEED come even close to the fabulous Char Aznable and Ramba Ral in win.

I'll give you Char, he was quite the BA, but Ral, I never really cared for him. Though it was cool when Heine quoted him agenst Stella. Brought a smile to my face.

Ral = Gouf, right?
Anywho, just to break the chain of Gundam, Gun X Sword was really awesome too. If you're simple enough to place the characters simply as "good guy" and "bad guy" then you'd end up getting confused as to who's the protagonist right in the middle of the series. I'm pretty sure it's not the first to be a bit diffrent than your average anime but a guy as picky as me liked it, so that means the action was good as well. 'Tis a shame no one else cares for it. It's awesome.

Forgot to mention.
The best manga of all times is obviously Berserk.
No character is as badass and GAR as Guts is. No one.

D: I like One Piece (I've only watched the english dubs(this includes 4kids)) because it's character's personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. You know what I'm talking about. Also, it's funny ;D

Go read it (Or watch it, there's an anime series but it ends after the 2nd story arc, not dwelling into the most awesome parts in the series) One Piece is an excelent series that never disappoints but Berserk is better.

Hmm, I've never been into gundam (any of the series, manga or anime.) One Piece seemed quite stupid to me, so I avoided it as well. Naruto was overrated and bothered me a fair bit, so also no go on it. The only one of the current shonen jump mangas I read is Bleach... And even that is kinda getting dull. (They have way too many characters which are just floating about and you really don't know anything about them. And it's kinda painful to see them try and divide the limited screentime/chapters among so many characters. Like for example, I have no interest in Ikkaku or his pal, the beauty freak. )
So for me I guess the best manga I've ever read is Saikano. (If you've never heard of it, go look it up. It's actually kind of sad, but it's pretty good.)
Battle Angel Alita was also interesting...

Hunter X Hunter was amazing. I just now finished all 92 episodes of it...
the only flaw in it, EVER(IMO) is the ending itself. I REALLLLY wanted to see Gon's dad....Well, two flaws: That and the who anime seems like a beginning. I can't believe Gon became that powerful, before he even shows up his life as a hunter. He didn't even touch up on all his powers, and neither did killua. I want to see them in their prime. I wish this would continue....Hunter X Hunter quickly rose to one of my favorite anime ever. Gon being able to sacrifice an arm for a victory, Killua's impressive asassin techniques, Hisoka's funny, yet ambiguous personality, Gon's father's legendary, yet mysterious legacy remaining consistantly powerful throught the entire series,.......this anime was GREAT!
