Mega Man 1-7 in a nutshell

Dr. Light: "Wily, come back with my robots."
Megaman: "I'll go get him."
Dr. Wily: "I give up...not"
Dr. Light: "Wily's attacking again."
Megaman: "I am Megaman, the Dragon Slayer"
Dr. Wily: "I'm not finished yet!"
Megaman: "What?! You're an alien?! I'll beat you anyway."
Dr. Light: "Dr. Wily's on our side now."
Megaman: "I'll go get the supplies."
Dr. Light: "Wily, come back with Gamma!"
Megaman: "Wily you traitor. Oh no! I have to destroy Gamma."
Dr. Light: "Who is attacking?"
Dr. Cossack: "I am Dr. Cossack."
Megaman: "I'll stop this Cossack."
Kalinka: "Megaman please don't kill my father. He was being used."
Wily: "Blast you Cossack. Blast you Megaman."
Megaman: "You're going down!"
Wily: "Ah, I lost again, but I'm still not going to jail."
Megaman: "Protoman, come back with Dr. Light!"
Dark Man: "Behold I am Protoman. I'll kill you."
Protoman: "Are you jealous of me?"
Megaman: "Hooray! Now I can kill you!"
Wily: "Now beat me!"
Megaman: "(Another Fortress)...sigh"
Wily: "You beat me again! Take your precious Dr. Light back while I sneak away."
Megaman: "Argh...he got away again."
Mr. X: "Welcome one and all to the first ever Robot Competition...So I can kill megaman with them."
Megaman: "Not another strange man with a fortress."
Mr. X: "Are you afraid?"
Megaman: "No. Prepare to fall!"
Mr. X: "Very good. You beat me, but can you beat me?"
Megaman: "No, Dr. Wily!"
Dr. Wily: "Come and get me!"
Megaman: "Okay I will."
Dr. Wily: "How did you beat me again?"
Megaman: "This time, I've got a leash."
World: "Yay, Wily is behind bars."
Megaman: "What, he had four special robots built for just such an emergency?"
Dr. Wily: "I'm free again!"
Megaman: "Who are you?"
Bass: "I am Bass."
Megaman: "Bass, go back to my base. You're an ally."
Dr. Light: "Megaman, bass tricked us. He works for Wily!"
Megaman: "Wily and Bass, you're both going down."
Bass: "Try and stop me."
Megaman: "Okay, I will, and I'll stop your puppy."
Bass: "Garr. I'll be back!"
Megaman: "Wily you're going down!"
Dr. Wily: "What?! You can't kill me!"
Megaman: "Yes, I can."
Bass: "No, you can't. You are weak."

Yeah, I know I stopped after 7. The reason being is I've not played through 8 enough times to know the story well enough.

Megaman "Dr. Light, what's going on? Why do you sound like Elmer Fudd?"
Dr. Light "A stwange meteoh has fawwen to earph. I want you to go get it for me for no apparent reason."
Megaman "Dr. Wily? What are you doing here!?
Dr. Wily "I live here. But now I have what I need to conquer the earth!"
Megaman "Oh no, he's getting away! Oh look, a fallen robot, I think I'll take it home!"
Duo "This is an evil energy that needs to be destroyed. Help plz?"
Megaman "Sure."

(I can't finish it. I haven't beaten MM8 yet. Stupid JetBoard in the fortress...)

Oh, then finish the story. I would, but although I've beaten and played some of them, I can't pay attention to the storylines for the life of me for some reason.

The original series didn't really have much of a detailed or exciting storyline as much as the other Megaman series continuations and alternates. So that's why it wasn't rememberable that much except for the awesome gameplay it provided for the masses who play that series. So in that aspect that's where it really shined the most in.

I found out about the plots of 1-3 thanks to mmhp.net. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known at all. The truth of the matter is the manuals are your friend.
