As the title states I am currently working on a project for highschool. In order to graduate next year I have to do this. And I choose Megaman because I've been a fan for like ever and I'm interested to find some content and research on the blue bomber.
I'm asking for some help on some sites and I'll be looking too as well because I have to start doing research as well. So anything is helpful and I will thank you greatly for it. Anyways if you have info on sites for me to visit to please post a link or address on here if you can. I am required to at least have 10 sitations so if you post something I consider well something I already know I will check it out but, if I don't see anything useful out of it than I will simply not use it but, I will say thanks for the help and I do appreciate it. And I apologize if this thread is making me sound hopeless or lazy but, I am not like that so don't comment anything on here to say that I am those things... I am a hardworker and I take my studies and whatever I do very seriously and this one of them... So I again apologize for the hassle and your time to help somebody you obviously don't know that well but, I really need a good start so I can get my project going and finished soon so I don't have to worry about it in my Senior year... So again thanks for reading this.

...You didn't tell us what kind of info you needed. Just general information on Megaman? If that's the case do you want info on the gameplay, or on the plot or something else? Do you want info on Megaman Classic, or the series as a whole?
You've gotta be more specific when you're asking for help.

Ah, the multiple citations rule. Too bad. I hate that crap. If not for that, you could get all your info here. Along with others here, I am a hardcore Megaman(yes, in general, meaning ALL  ) fan who knows much about not only story-line information, but gameplay as well among other things. Though like tank said, narrow down your topic. |

Oh sorry about that my topic involves the history and the effect Megaman had on an almost global scale. Of course I will include pretty much the main stream titles the whole gameseries pretty much as well as perhaps features that each game provided and additional artwork. Story is nice too but, yes in general that is what I'm looking for. As for games I've played all the main ones except Megaman soccer the GBPocket games, Megaman extreme 2 and other remakes perhaps oh and starforce because I detest it but, it is a part of Megaman history currently so yeah... I've also seen the animes they had here which was th old original series, Ntwarrior series and perhaps the starforce anime which had like three english dubbs for... Anyways thanks you guys are great and I will check out the sites you left for me to look up. So thanks again and once the project gets in gear I will let you know the other requirements I have to meet in this project tomarrow. I hope this helped narrowed down what I'm looking for as asked by Chaos Tank and Silver Striker and I thank Virus for providing me with some links to work with first because obviously I'm not going to get this info in books but, perhaps old videogame magazines. I also remember that there were mangas as well but, those are pretty much in Japan...

I do have the rockman zero complete works... but it's entirely in japanese so I can't really read it...
But maybe if you google for it you can find the sales reports of the megaman games to help give an idea of how many megaman games have been sold...
And the contributions that Megaman has given the world... Look to OCremix... At the music people have turned to remixing, to sprites and the flash movies people make of megaman...

Hmm, that's a tricky one considering few gamers play Megaman, far less than the other classic games. Its too bad he wasn't included in Smash Bros...
Virus gave you some good ideas and some useful links. The only thing I might add is that classic megaman used to have a TV show and they made a more recent one about BN.

Classic megaman had a ruby-spears produced one and he was in a few episodes of Captain N...
A shame X never had a tv series... Well least he was a part of one episode of the Ruby-spears version... (Even though it seems many fans don't like that interpretation of X.)
As for more currently... There was Rockman.exe, Rockman.exe Axess, Rockman.exe Stream, Rockman.exe Beast and Beast+. And they also made Rockman Ryusei (Megaman starforce) into an anime as well. (Starforce and I belive the second chapter starforce tribes as well.) Rockman/Megaman is still quite popular in Japan as well as in the world... But not as popular as he used to be. (The reason I used the Japanese name Rockman instead of Megaman is because only Megaman.exe and Megaman.exe axess were translated officially and played on North American TV, and I wanted things to be somewhat consistent. )

As promised heres the goal of this project and requirements.
It is to test the student to see if he/she can do projects of the college level by themselves for the most part.
Requirements include:
Poster board or powerpoint slide show.
A 5 or 8 page essay.
portfolio full of research and additional pics etc.
A contents page for portfolio.
20hrs of research and project work a log has to be made for it.
A sitations page and proposal letter to principal of school.
A presentation can be scheduled at any time with at least two adults one being a certified teacher.
So if I don't do this project or fail it I will not graduate and have to retake Senior year and do it all over again as a new topic... Which blows big time to me.
I can interview people about my subject and record the data which will also help my research. (This is where you guys will come in if your interested in however the person I interveiw has to include his/her real name at least and the date of interveiw)
which I won't start yet till at least get my poster started.
This week the goal is to obtain info through regular sources which will invole the net at this moment and I can't do it in our school library because of bess and can't proxify or anything like that which really eliminates the purpose of using school as a front.
Anyways right now I'll be gathering up a timeline for when the franchise began and include interesting events as well as dates when the games were released through out the current 20 year span so far... So thanks again for posting.
Interviews are now open if anybody is interested please PM me to commence and we will use this thread. And when you accept I will schedule in one at a time for thirty min to an hour at most so I don't waste your time. So please read rules so you know. However I will work with one person at a time so do not enter during and interview that is scheduled please if you see questions and what not. So thanks for your time.

Well I used to live in Korea when I was little, a place where most Japanese-related games and shows go besides Japan. Anywho, I was little and I had met a new friend. He took me to his house and showed me Megaman X2. Either that or when my brother first baught Megaman X4. Its been years since then, but I'm sure its either of those memories.
