I have finally started to animate "Epsilon's Rage". My progress so far, 60 frames that say the following:
Epsilon's Rage Part 1: Distress in Victory; Old Enemy/Friend Animation: GeneralShenX
Hey, I've got to start somewhere. I'm going to forwarn everybody. I've never done flash animation before, so this might take quite a while. It took me forever just to figure out how to create new frames.

Well... you can check NG for some flash tutorials for the basics. That should help you.

I've got the introduction and part of scene 1 done.
You know something really strange, if there is even the tiniest little thing wrong, it annoys me. For instance, I had a shifting background while I had one of the sprites talking. I couldn't just leave it alone. I insisted on erasing x number of frames and redoing them so they wouldn't shift around. What is the deal? I'm not a perfectionist, and these little details bug me.
Does anyone here use the motion-tween? I'm thinking about using it, but I am unsure of what it will actually do.

Practice and master it. It will help you alot if you use it right.
Oh, and If you need music, Make me one of your contacts. Doubt you'd ever need it, but I did get my hands on some DBZ music among other things. If you have completely handled Music and know(and have) the music you want, completely ignore me. Again, good luck though.

I think you misunderstood me. What does the motion-tween do?

Actually I had a flash guide posted here... but somewhere along the line the link got broken... So I'll re-post it later today (after some sleep first) for you. You may find it useful, you may not, but it does explain step by step how to do many things...

And while he looks for/remakes the guide, I'll give you my crappy explenation:
It's an animation helper thing....Oi, that didn't go well at all... Well, say you want X to go from point A to point B. You make the running X gif(doable in Flash), and the the tween is used in a way so that when you put X at point B a few frames later, he'll move there as the frames lead up to the frame wich holds point B....I suck. 'Tis somethin like that, right VZ?....
I'm no good with explenations. Ignore me if I'm wrong too.

I just had to find it, then export it as a .pdf (I had to tweak some settings to get the file size down... As before it was over 30 megabytes for the .pdf, but now, after the alterations to the formatting, the .pdf is even smaller than the 3 meg .doc file... ) So here it is: VZ's Flash tutorial (in .pdf for smaller size) Stryker, You've got it basically right. A tween is just a feature to make the computer animate for you. (Instead of forcing you to take an image and manully move it with keyframes making you worry about keeping it smooth, you can tween and the computer will evenly space the movement so its smooth.) But aside from that there are more features than just movement... You can also alter colors, the alpha(aka the visiblilty of an object) or a combination of both. (Which is great for text... Have it fade in, possibly change colors then fade out.)

Now the color part, I knew nothing about...If I knew that, I would've hade enough courage to complete a few flash pieces before my trial was finished. Gen, you're a lucky one to find all of this out.
