Fan Fiction - Ryuusei No Rockman-
Chapter One- FM form, ForteHound!
Dark kicked the rock into the river. Darkness covered the sky as night fell. He sighed and put on his custom designed Visualizer. As usual, radio waves ran through the skies.
The lamp beside him flickered and went out. Dark sighed and looked up. It was the Mets
Virus work again. He opened his Transer and slotted in a battle card –Sword-. The Mets gave a shrill squeal and disintegrated. The lamp flickered back on. A wave suddenly moved in another direction. Dark quickly looked up. It was moving again, and the colours shifted from purple to black, then gold. It started to get bigger. Dark lingered too long and figured it out. By then the wave slammed into him. A light enveloped him…
Dark shook off the pain. He tried to open his eyes, and squeezed them shut again. The light was bright. This time, he slowly opened them. He saw a silhouette... It was humanoid... Wait... it was floating... Then he saw it. He didn’t run. He was never scared. His dark heart ensured that. Perhaps a brief history of him can be given. Dark is aged 14. He was an orphan, and hated is etched in his memories.
The figure was a FM form. Its body glowed darkness and a red aura surrounded it. Dark spoke, “Who are you? Why have you come, FM form? You want control over me?”
The creature chuckled. “I am not like my brethren. They are fools. I am ForteHound. I came here, to help you. I can give you a new life. New powers, come, and we shall be a unstoppable pair!” Dark smiled. “I have a FM form. Thank you Forte. I will… be your partner.”

Chapter Two- Wave Merge… DarkForte!
War Rock stopped rampaging about as Subaru was doing his work. Subaru, surprised, looked up at War Rock. War Rock growled, “Another FM life form… That brainwave… It’s familiar…” Subaru sighed. “That will have to wait, War Rock. Not until I’m done with homework. Not to mention it’s a lame excuse to try and get me out.” War Rock growled furiously, “I’M NOT LYING!” War Rock started to rampage and roar inside the Transer. Subaru ignored him and continued with his work.
Somewhere nearby…
“Shall we merge, ForteHound?” said Dark as he readied his Transer. ForteHound sniffed the air. “Yes, but it is risky. I smell the scent of another FM form... No matter. Begin!”
There was a flash of light, and a glowing figure stood. Sharp fins stuck out of the helmet, and the amour was a deep black. A red stripe was at each hand and leg. A program was at one side, frozen in shock. The program squealed involuntarily. The figure turned. The program shook in fear. The figure reached out a hand, and darkness enveloped the scene. There was a squeal, and there was silence. The darkness cleared… revealing the remains of the program – a mere head chip. The figure was long gone.

“Congratulations Dark, you have mastered my powers. On first try too.”
Dark was silent. He slowly removed the visualizer.
Dark hesitated… “I think… it is time to settle debts, my dear friend.”
Darkness covered them, and once again, they disappeared.

Chapter 3- Confrontation, dark and light!
Subaru looked up in the sky. Radio waves swarmed through the air. It was both disturbing and beautiful at the same time. War Rock looked up at the wave roads. It was unusually quiet that night. “War Rock, Isn’t the sky glamorous tonight? It’s a big transmission today as there are several people having parties. After all, it is the day of the invention on the 3 satellites…” War Rock silently nodded in agreement. Suddenly, a voice spoke, “It is indeed beautiful. It is a pity tonight will be painful for you.” Subaru quickly got up and glanced to and fro. “Who’s there! Show Yourself!” War Rock immediately hunched and growled – a sign that he was agitated. “This smell! I know this smell! ForteHound, show yourself! Subaru, quickly, unite!” Subaru nodded in agreement.
“Wave merge! On air!” they yelled in unison. A cloaked figure stood before them.
War Rock immediately made Subaru fire off the rock buster. The cloaked figure moved swiftly and dodged everything. Subaru stuttered, “Im-im-imposs-sible! War Rock! Who is this?!” War Rock swore. “ForteHound! Stay still and fight!” The cloaked figure chuckled. “I am not ForteHound…” The cloak swished off, “… I AM DARKFORTE!”
DarkForte chuckled again. The area burst into flames, all in deep shades of red. Subaru jumped in astonishment. DarkForte raised a hand, “You will suffer truly, tonight, Rockman.” And suddenly dark energies in forms on flames engulfed Subaru. “P-pain… N-no… F-father! Where are you going!” Subaru twisted to and fro. War Rock growled, “What have you done to him, ForteHound! Let him go!” Another voice spoke, this time, coming from the same mouth, that of DarkForte. “Oh, he is merely in his land of nightmares and saddest memories. And… I can remember you betrayed us… First betrayal and now forming ranks with our enemies! Have you no shame? But I made exception for this boy here, he has potential and we work together very well. What about you War Rock? With a miserable low-life who can’t withstand his darkest memories…”
Subaru suddenly jerked forward screaming. DarkForte chuckled and lowered his hand. The convulsions stopped at once. Subaru collapsed limply. “Oh, so quick? I was expecting better from him. I will return. Tell him, there are no more places to hide.” With that, DarkForte covered himself in darkness again, then when the darkness cleared, he was no longer there.

Chapter 4 – The 3 satellites help Dark?!
Dark stood on the lamp pole, not even swaying for the slightest bit. It wasn’t very amazing. After all, he was trained like this long ago. The three constellations winked in the sky. Legend went that they were Dragon, Pegasus and Leo, survivors that of the ancient FM massacre on planet AM. Dark already knew that. He had watched Subaru for a long time. Dark made a ‘tut’ sound and jumped off the lamp, landing without any noise.
A few hours later, Dark made himself cozy in the backyard of some people. Not that they knew he was there at all. ForteHound was sound asleep. Dark scraped off a bit of dirt on ‘his’ patch and lay down. He was asleep before he closed his eyes. Fatigue had come over him as he had moved rapidly to track down Subaru. Subaru Hoshikawa. He admired Subaru. Dark was the same age. He saw him change once and started to try and be like him. Unfortunately… The fateful night came. Dark headed home after a movie with friends. A deep red glow hung over his neighborhood. Dark’s eyes widened with horror. He rushed there, but alas, sorrow and hatred for Subaru was conceived that day. His whole neighborhood was ablaze. Worse, Subaru was there laughing evily. It was a complete misunderstanding. It was a rebel FM who impersonated Rockman and burned down the place. Dark kneeled next to his burned corpses of his parents, and swore an oath, that he would find Subaru Hoshikawa and avenge his friends and family. Then after a year, he found ForteHound. It became his tool. And his heart was no longer warm, but cold and darkness radiated from him. A flash of blinding light, and there was the 3 AMs. Death hung about them, as these were the dark evil fragments of their souls. Power was bestowed upon him, the power of Forte. Dark was told the truth. ForteHound was a FM memory of the ancient net navi named Forte. That made ForteHound a ‘dark god’, as Forte was feared by the navis of that time. Thus did darkness seed inside him, and revenge was only a mere thing he could accomplish anytime.

Subaru slowly stirred. He jumped up holding his Transer like the Rock buster. “C’mon! Show yourself!” he yelled. Then he stared blankly at the room and his ‘not so Rock buster’ Transer. War Rock was laughing and laughing at him, “I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU!!” Subaru growled and chucked his pillow at War Rock, which just passed through War Rock and he laughed harder than ever. Subaru stormed out of his room, setting the recipe pancakes for breakfast. He was in a foul mood and took out his food, slamming the door with a bang. His mother, aroused by the commotion, came running down. “Subaru! You’re awake! Finally, you’ve been sleeping for 2 days!” Subaru froze in the act of slamming down his food on the table. “T-t-two da-ays?!” he stuttered. “Yes, thank heavens Luna and Gonta had found you. Otherwise I would be so worried for you.” Subaru was in a fouler mood as he left for school. Suddenly, he bumped into Luna and gang. Luna was about to say hi and Subaru covered her mouth with his hand as he passed by. Luna and Gonta furiously exclaimed, “Not even a thank-you or a good morning! The cheek!” Subaru had just arrived at school when War Rock came yelling. “Hey, Subaru! Trying to shoot with a Transer again?” A vein pulsed in Subaru’s temple.

Subaru sat in his seat and waited for class to start. His teacher walked in. “Class, we have a new student!” Everyone chatted excitedly except for Subaru. “Everyone… Say welcome to Dark Hikari!” Subaru looked up and familiar eyes met his. Everyone was excited. “Hey, I think he is a descendant of the legendary Lan Hikari! The one who controlled the legendary Rockman navi!!” Subaru opened his mouth, stupefied. Dark grinned.

Subaru was dumbfounded. I remember that face! He’s the one who attacked me! Dark grinned and bowed to the class. “It is a pleasure to meet you all. Thank you Teacher.” Dark said. Several girls blushed and started to chat excitedly among themselves. Subaru frowned. This was not good. He would be a threat.

The bell rang and everyone rushed out of class. Subaru waited by the school gate for Luna and gang. Soon, the group arrived. Subaru waved and said a loud hi to them. Luna waved back – but not to Subaru. Dark passed him, waving at Luna. Subaru was stunned. Luna rushed up to Dark and said, “Hello, you must be the new student Dark! Would you like me to show you around?” A tiny smile formed at Dark’s lips. “It would be a honor. I assume you are the class president?” Luna blushed. “Yes, I am. Shall we go?” Dark walked ahead, and Luna looked back at Subaru, smirking. Subaru was left standing alone, dumbstruck. It was hours before he could return and sleep.

Somewhere, on another planet…
“Heeheeheehee! When do we start? This is our turn, yet?” said a figure. A girlish voice spoke. “Not yet, my comrades. Soon. Soon. I believe Ox and the others have failed…”
A growl resonated through the area. “They have! I expected Gemini to be far stronger! The FM king is now useless! He has developed emotions! Now we don’t have Andromeda! No matter! I will crush them all!” “This dimensionsss… They are sooo pitifulsss…” said a lizard-like silhouette. “No matter… I will kill them. Ware Na Meshia Nari, I will kill them all, HA HA HA!” Voices laughed, echoing in the dark abyss of the never ending space.

Subaru slumped on his bed, thinking about the day’s events. That Dark… Damnit… What should I do? A clash resounded outside. Subaru jumped up and looked out. Dark was standing on a lamp post. Dark swung his arm and another crash sounded. Subaru quickly put on his visualizer. Then it dawned on him. Dark, was with another FM. And they were thrashing someone. He saw a flash of blue and green, a pair of red eyes. When the figure crashed, he realized who it was. It was War Rock. Worse, a Jamminga was heading for him. Subaru paled in alarm and ran downstairs. By the time he had arrived, the duo had already wave merged into DarkForte. DarkForte said something and the Jamminga moved out of the way. A dark aura glowed powerfully as DarkForte put his hands together. Subaru had just reached War Rock when DarkForte chuckled coldly. Subaru’s eyes widened. “Goodbye, killer.” Said DarkForte. And with that, DarkForte fired.
