What are some things, characters or places in anime and manga that scare you? Maybe you find them vaguely discomfiting, or perhaps they reduce you to a gibbering fountain of tears. Whatever the impact, share your anime fears here. ... and don't pretend you don't have any, because we all do. Mine's No Face, from Spirited Away... and my fear is the gibbering fountain of tears type. ;_;  Gah! How can you not be frightened by that sinisterly innocent and alarmingly disarming mask?!? Oh god, it scares me... |

I do....I probably just haven't found one yet.
Though, when Haku died and still smiled....that was just creepy. I mean a guy who dies standing up and smiles all innocently? Sheesh, that's creepy.
But that is just slightly creepy. Nothing that drives me to a gibbering pile of tears and cringing.

To be honest, I never got scared of anime... Anime isn't really that scary. The only thing that really made me go like "OMFG!!! SCARY AAARGH!!!111111!!!onemiliionsomething!!!!!" was "The grudge 2"

Ah, maybe not an actual creature, some of the things that happen in FMA are just....twisted. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll keep quiet.

the thing that scares the s#!t out of me is: you being chased by something down a obviosly dark hall, you stop at an intersection, you look to the right, nothing. you look down the left, and there is a zombie RUNNING at you, turns out it was a halucnation caused by the smell in your pants(maybe) you look to the right again, completly freaked out, and you see a small girl with hair over her face, and you hear a " La la la la la laa" sound in the back ground. you go up to the girl and ask her if shes ok, then her hair goes up like shes if standing on an air vent, her face is sort of like a undead joan rivers, and she screams, it sounds like a whale but not so nice. that would make me crap myself if it actually happened. |

i find no-face scary too especially the way he goes "uh, uh" and then offers them gold and then eats them
i also found the grudge 1 hell scary, considering i saw it whan i was 11 but thats beside the point

;Dits from the movie spirited away, its a spirit that sitting is supposed to be evil, just before they get on that bus (the picture) he looks like a frog, but with no eyes and eats almost everything, the mouse was a big talking baby (seriously) then it got changed. the girl went through a tunnel and had 2 workat at this spa, and the spirit sort of helped her (the spirit looked like the 1 in the picture) she would be allowed to be free if she could guess which pigs would be her parents (they were transformed)

I actually don't whatch much anime or read much manga, but The Ring was the closest to scared I ever got. It didn't really scare me watching the movie. I was watching it over at some friends house. They kept rewinding the part where the girl was found screaming in the closet. I then had to leave not finishing the movie (which is always a bad sign). I was whatching it in the middle of the day so there was no darkness to scare you even more, but at the time I slept in a bed in front of the biggest TV in the house. I just sometimes couldn't sleep.

i havent seeen the grudge 2 how is it reaver? Freaky.... Really freaky... Don't watch if you have mental problems.  To Rio: Grudge 2 is more  up then Grudge 1 in my opinion. It also doesn't really matter if you view them in the wrong order because there isn't much of a storyline.  |

Anime is only scary in animes that are specially made to be really scary. There is one that's really freaky, but I forgot the name, gotta find out
