Mario and Bowser actually.
I think Metroid and Megaman followed different paths, but it's still interesting to compare both.
"she's been the same as when she was 8-bit!" That's the reason of success. Even today, you get a high wow-factor when you play Metroid Prime 3. And the mix of adventure and shooting is awesome. I think Megaman is always different and always the same in a not-so-good way. I feel there's something missing when I play Megaman

The Metroid series has four FPS. The Prime sub series. It's fun, cause you HAVE to keep your eyes open. Megaman has stuck mainly with side scrollers, breaking off with X7 or 8 (I forget), Legends, Battle Network, and Star Force....and I think that's about it...Oh, and Command Mission. Let's see a turn based RPG Metroid! Hey wait...Is there a Mega Man pinball? Or is there a Metroid racer?

It was X7. Mega Man Maverick Hunter X was also a 3D remake of MMX

Both X7 and 8 were 3D side-scrollers, but both also had a few twists like said before.

It would be interesting to see a Megaman X FPS... Ofcourse if they did that, They should make the game longer than 8 bosses and a few fortress levels... They'd need atleast 32 bosses, online multiplayer will all those characters, A long range and close range movest for each character.
(EX- X would have his buster for long range and most of his moves, and a saber for close range. While Zero would be mainly close range with only a few buster moves as his long range. )

A really fast paced first person adventure would be awesome.

anyone ever play rayman arena? I used to have it awhile back. everytime I played it, I always thought that X and zero could be in it(not storywise, or anything but simply because the things they do in are.A seem very much like things X and Zero can do as well.)

Megaman classic - Well, it was a classic! So that's why it wasn't that serious.
Megaman X - More serious than the normal megaman, and it was kinda fun too.
Megaman Zero - It gives a new meaning to the name "Megaman", it has waay more serious story, different drawing style, different character style etc. etc..
Megaman. Exe - Yeah, it's good, but I, myself have moods, and when I'm in a Megaman mood I mean I'm in a mood to create fanchara for any megaman series, or play any megaman game but not this..I love the game but I have a different mood for it.. AH nevermind, I can't explain. My point was, It's waaaaaaaaaaaaay different than other series
Megaman ZX - a sequel to MMZ, So it is probably good, haven't played it yet tho.
Megaman Starforce - A sequel or spinoff of MM.Exe so yeah, It may be good, haven't played that either.
