Is it just me or did crapcom just quit on MMX? it's been forever for a new one, let alone the last one (X8) was'nt that great.

8 rocked in my opinion. what was wrong with it for you? it had vile in it! anywho, I bet they're just waiting for a perfect chance to continue. from what I'm seeing, they're practically losing money for each X game they make, suggesting that there's no room for "Average" games, but need a super game instead. That's why I bet that if X appeared in brawl, They'd have a very good jumpstart into creating a very awesome X game, and then make that game end the series to give i an even larger boost.

MMX8 was fun, unfortunately, I barely get to play it, so as a consequence, I've not yet beaten it. I would've by now...if I owned it. I've heard you can get it for the PC, but I don't know if it is for the PC in the US. If it is, I would buy X7 and X8 and slaughter them...eventually, like I do every other X game...after dying many, many times that is.
I don't own a PS2...but even if I did the only games I'd buy would be the Street Fighter games as well as X7 and X8. Maybe if the PS2 drops below 100, I might think consider it.

uia, ya it had Vile in it, but he sucked big time, he was sigmas , and from what I remember, in MMX3, he was alleged with no one, just there to kill X. also the game was by far way to easy, even on hard mode it was no challenge to me. Lumane was the only good thing in the game in my opinion. they need to make one like MMXCM or MMX5 again.

Honestly, if you're looking for the best formula, return to MMX1's style and just integrate Zero into play. To be perfectly honest though, after MMX3, they got too easy because you could save in the middle of the fortress. Yeah, the levels may be more difficult, but that just forces the player to become more efficient.
MMX5/6...good accept for one thing...you should have to replay the level if you run out of lives, not start at the most recent save point. Some of that might seem ridiculous, especially in Shadow Devil's level, but it very well should have been done.
I honestly think that sony complained about having to play the entire fortress all over again, or starting a level over if you ran out of lives.
That's just my opinion though.

true, 8 was too easy....but in 3, vile was LOOSELY with,....who ever(forgot) He was just insane. even on 8, he kinda isn't with sigma. he was just talking crap. he still wanted X's head on a silver golden platter.
shen, I'd gladly send you my copy, but alas you don't have a ps2. well, we've done all we can by playing the games....why not go send a mail to capcom or something? just a randome suggestion.
